Laundry

What kind of detergent do you use? How do you get your laundry smelling oh so clean and fresh.. I loooooove the smell of clean laundry so share with me what you use/do :D

I guess I could have just added this to our yahoo convo, but I didn't wanna. hehehe

I use Tide (or Western Family) cold water detergent for the wash, with Fleecy fabric softener if I am hanging to dry outside (which I did over the past weekend, hoping the sun comes back again soon so I can do more outside!!). If I use the dryer, I throw in a Bounce sheet, scent free. lol

Not much help am I? The key is to do the laundry, don't let it pile up (yeah, I rarely practice this myself, but it does work according to my MIL. lmao).

I use Arm and Hammer b/c my kids have bad skin reactions/allegies to different detergents and this one works for our whole family.

On another note..When I was pregnant with Ryleigh I had to have a teal snuggle dryer sheet in my pocket at all times..I was addicted to the smell!

laundry??? what's that????

seriously though, we use all rain scent for soap and snuggle for dryer sheets. i dont' hang stuff outside much around here. too sandy most of the time and allergies the rest...LOL

I change detergents frequently....but Purex seems to work best for everyone here. We also buy Arm & Hammer alot too.
I always use Liquid Snuggle (Blue,original)........that is the main thing that makes our stuff smell so fab! Plus I use a Snuggle dryer sheet too.
Yes, I am addicted to Snuggle! lol!

I have a major aversion to the smell of sun-dried clothing or the feel for that matter...not fluffy and light enough. So, it's clothes dryer all the way for me with Bounce Free (allergy issues) for dryer sheets.

We use Tide w/ bleach Mountain Spring (or something like that) liquid detergent. Our skin seems to tolerate that okay and it smells good to me.

But I have overly developed sense of smell...I'm sure they coud use me to sniff out drugs when I'm pregnant as it goes into major overdrive and accounts for 9 months of nausea. During that time, I had to switch (and make the hubby, too) deodorants, shampoos, etc. At times, I would resort to sucking on the Halls cough drops to try to drown out the other smells.

I usually use Method ( I prefer the water lilly scent).. but these past few months w/ the whole lack of car/inability to get to target I've been rotating through some detergents at my market.. they're all scent free though lol. I MUCH prefer the method detergent, it smells so pretty.

use the free and clear stuff from Costco. no smell. also use the kirkland dryer sheets but they don't seem to be too scented. kids have eczema issues. DH dislikes strong smells.

our laundry is boring.

we use purex. i'm allergic to anything else. and no fabric softener for my stuff, either. makes me break out in hives. i can tell if my laundry's been done using anything other than purex, too.

my aunt SWEARS by Arm and Hammer, though. that's all she'll use.

I use Tide or Cheer, the 2x or 3x concentrated formulas. For softener I use Downy/bounce sheets. Maybe I should try Arm and Hammer again, if it comes in a concentrated formula. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than Tide or Cheer, lol.
I do wash everything in cold. Don't hang anything outside, too much dust around and my horses are practically in the backyard. Much as I love em, that's even too much for me,lol :p.

I switch detergents all the time...don't know why, but I do. LOL I have tide (not sure of the scent) and I just bought a (new to me) Arm and Hammer detergent that is an Orchid sent or something like that. It smells yummy. My DH just put up a laundry line for me a few weeks ago so I have been doing that as much as I can. That has helped the good smell stay in the clothes. I can't stand the stiff feeling of laundry so I tend to fluff them alittle in the dryer once they are off the line. :)

Arm & Hammer laundry detergent because my youngest is sensitive to most anything else. I use Seventh Generation liquid fabric softener because of some of the stuff thats in the name brands.

I use Tide with Bleach and Bounce Free for the dryer. In the spring/summer I put Downey in the wash and hang it on the clothesline. I LOVE clothes on the clothesline!

I usually use cheer or tide cold water. With snuggly bounce. mmmm

I love the smell of clean clothes too. Sometimes we stuff a fresh bounce in our underwear drawers, couch cushions, vents, car etc so the smell goes throughout.

I use Tide, sometimes Coldwater Fresh but last time I bought the new kind with Dawn, it works GREAT.
I also use Clorox 2 and Downy in the wash.
Then a Bounce Sheet in the dryer.

We are using Sunlight w/o fragrance or smell, as well as fragrance free bounce sheets, and fragrance free Downy. I have sensativities to fragrances, and get headaches from strong scents. Plus this way I don't have to buy special stuff for washing baby clothes!

Due to sensitive skin issues and the fact that I cannot stand strong scents, we use All Free & Clear.

I was gonna tell you, but I think I'll wait till later :p

Seriously, I use just regular Tide but I'm LOVING the way Costco brand fabric softener smells!!

I used to only use Arm & Hammer and then some cheapo dryer sheets. Then we got a new front loading washer and dryer set and now I have been trying different stuff, lol. right now i LOVE Gain's Apple Mango Tango and ther fabric softener! I also love Simple Pleasures Vanilla Lavender fabric softener.

We currently use ALL Free & Clear HE formula. It was on sale the last time I needed detergent. When the 3 bottles I bought run out I'll buy whatever is cheapest and 'free'. I use Downy softner once a month or so & we don't use dryer sheets

I use Tide (doesn't matter which one) and Lavender Fields Downy liquid with usually a Bounce sheet for the dryer.

For me it's not the detergent, but the fabric softener that makes the difference. I just started using BioKleen-High Efficiency (washer) and it works fine, though I also add OxiClean for the whites and sheets (which are white). But my fabric softener and dryer sheets are both Downy Chamomile & Lemon Verbena scent (yes, matching the scent helps). That and not letting the damp towels get all musty with the rest of the laundry.

I usually use some sort of Gain, I tend to get different ones every time. I usually buy Downy fabric softener. My all time favorite is Tahitian Waterfall but the store is often out of it (I wonder why *sniff sniff*) so in that case I pick up Mountain Spring, my second favorite. I usually put a bit of Clorox 2 in with the wash as well.

I don't use dryer sheets generally if we put them in a dryer, we hang laundry out to dry sometimes!
