Well summer has officially begun

I can say that BECAUSE I had my first trip to the beach today (sheer bliss) and came home with my first sunburn of the season (sheer hell) and it's worse than normal BECAUSE I have a lower cut suit this year and it burned tender flesh that has never before seen the light of day! YEOWWWWWCH oh and my face looks like this :cursing: ROFL

What did everyone do today fun to celebrate the holiday while I was lobster baking? LOL
 
OUCH! I can definitely relate to sunburn pain.....luckily none of that yet this year! :)

We went to an utterly gorgeous wedding on Saturday of one Jay's childhood friends- church ceremony followed by a reception on the water at the bride's parents' home. Amazing. Yesterday we chilled at home and went to a friend's picnic birthday for her 1 year old daughter and today I got in some much needed "creative" time inbetween the usual house duties and went out to dinner to enjoy the weather. :) Definitely have the "summer" bug now!
 
We had a busy but great weekend! The weather was just amazing too! We bounced to a bunch of people's houses for lots is good eating, made a few trips to the park and just enjoyed every moment of it all.

Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

Hope that burns cools down quickly!
 
Oh I hate sunburn you poor thing!!! Aloe, lots of Aloe LOL! We hung out at a picnic with my bestfriend and the kids did the slipping slide. I was SO tempted to hop on that bad boy LOL
 
Ouch! I hate sunburns! And I burn so easy! Glad you got a beach day in! That sounds wonderful!

We just hung out with the fam, ate some yummy food, and had a girls day out and got my hair chopped off. It was a good weekend!

you know.. I slathered sunblock on today when I took ce to the playground and I'm still pink...bah! lol Well I guess I shouldn't complain since I don't look like this guy too :cursing: :D :D :D
 
yay for the beach, sadness for sunburn.

we had a low-key weekend. Yesterday took the kids to driving range and putt-putt. Driving range was DH's idea :glare:. But the kids really enjoyed the putt-putt.

Today was so humid, blech.
 
I'm not jealous about your burn. . . but, we had tons of rain this weekend! will the summer days ever get here?!
 
Hmm... nothing too crazy. BF had his folks over for a BBQ yesterday afternoon, and today we drove to his hometown to go to the hot dog stand (blech, but a big hit for BF and his son) before going to visit his 94yo grandmother.

Since getting back to my house, I've been much more productive: paid a couple bills, finished two layouts for double reward points, & made spaghetti and garlic bread. :)
 
P.S. I'm still pink from a sunburn I got April 26th. Sigh. Stupid melatonin-lacking albino-esque skin.
 
I am there with you sister - I went to the beach today and have massive sunburn!!!!!! Tip to self - throw away the spray on sunscreen - doesn't work!!! - Could be the toxic Atlantic eats it off - I'm sorry about the burn...but have heart you don't suffer alone!!!!
 
Ouch! I never use to burn, but in the last 10 years or so I think I have turned part vampire and can't be out in the sun for long without burning to a crisp! LOL
 
I've got some sunburn too, and sore muscles. WalMart marked down a bunch of their fruit trees and some maples to $5 and that is when we buy them:) We got a dozen assorted this time, usually about 8-10 survive. Planted all of them.

We then had a cookout with friends. I finally got our pool set up so the kids went swimming in icy cold water!
 
whilst you were basking in the sun, we had rain out the ying yang. we had a little bbq and hung out with friends (lilcameronsmommy), it was a good timeegardless of the rain. still drizzling today. good luck with the sunburn...i don't really feel sorry for you. LOL!!!! :p

Well hopefully the pink will turn to brown at some point! LOL it really doesn't hurt that bad today, thank goodness. Our neighborhood pool opens this week and once I start being in the sun more I should tan out pretty good but I hate this beginning stage. I look like a raccoon in the face, lol. Sorry for you guys that had rain. We had originally planned to do the beach trip on Saturday and have our Memorial Day cookout yesterday but our weather was nasty Saturday...60 degrees and rainy. Blech. So we compromised, had the cookout sunday and went beachin yesterday! Sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend though all in all!
 
Most days it's no more than 14*C here (right now at almost 1:30pm it's 11*C out), so it's definitely not shorts weather. We were at my parents house this weekend (an hour away) and as soon as we got there it was t-shirt weather! So weird to go from having to wear a jacket outside to having to just have a t-shirt because it's so warm. Totally sucks living on the coast!
