and DH is gone all week to a conference:thumbdown: Every year it lands on our anniversary, so we haven't been together for it in 5 years :( . Okay, I'll quite whining now.......darn job!!!!
 
Aw Cindy, that really stinks...take yourself out for a nice dinner and a drink!!!! Try to enjoy your day girl...Happy Anniversary!!!!

DH and I don't get to celebrate our anniversary on the day of it anymore, either...but we always go out the weekend after without kids, go to a movie, dinner, do some shopping...sometimes we stay in a hotel (if we do, it's a NICE hotel - expensive...jacuzzi, etc). We don't celebrate birthdays, x-mas, etc...the ONE thing we do celebrate is anniversaries, so they're a big deal to us, we save up and do something special every year! :) DH is probably getting a TV from me...I have no idea what I'll get from him, I haven't really asked for much yet. LOL!
 
It's my 4 year anniversary today and my DH won't be home till late :( Darn men!! LOL Hope you have a nice day regardless!
 
Sorry your hubby is out of town! My DH and I always said that on our 10th anniversary we'd to back to where we had our honeymoon -- in Bali. Well, when the date rolled around, we had 2 little kids and ended up spending it at
Trader Vic's here where we live (at least it was sort of tropical themed!).

I hope he makes it up to you when he gets home!

Aw, thanks everyone! Unfortunately we won't be able to celebrate when he gets back either, the last time we went on a date was I think last Christmas. We don't have a babysitter or family nearby:thumbdown: No fun!:(
He did have a dozen roses delivered here today though :) I miss him!

Happy anniversary :wub: It was our 8th too - mind you that I was in bed with a pretty bad tonsillites:( I still feel like crap and I hate the fact that we missed a nicely cooked dinner with candle light and a glas of wine. Hope to be able to do it at the weekend but is just doesn't feel the same, KWIM?

Oh and I hear you about the going out... our last "date" was in November 2007 and we went out for dinner with other parents of DD's class, so not even a real "date"!!!
 
Aww Cindy - hope you're celebrating anyway!! A little more wine and some of that recommended shopping therapy should help towards a cure! Maybe shop first then 'wine' up some after:thumbup:!
