I know I haven't been around too much recently, but I wanted to share my joy with you all. His name is Brockton Heath and was born on Saturday the 23rd at 11:43am. 7lbs, 8oz, 19 inches long :thumbup:

I was dialated to a 5 and had been for 3 hours when I asked for iv pain medication, worrying that if I got an epidural it would slow down labor too much. Well who knows how/why, but the medication did nothing at all for my pain, but somehow let me "relax enough"(this is the dr's theory, but I was in no way relaxed through that pain lol) that I dialated to 10cm literally in minutes. No time for pain medication= :thumbdown: lol. I don't think the dr really believed me about how much pressure I was feeling until she checked me. Definetly not an experience that I was prepared for, but luckily he was born just 3 minutes after being checked and told that I was indeed ready to push. We're both doing well. :) Anywho, thanks for letting me share my story with you all!
