iBond Hot Glue Gun

does anyone have one of these cordless glue guns from imaginisce?

i saw a couple scrappers using them over on the scrapbook trends blog and i'm intrigued! i think they'd be great for bigger elements and glueing buttons to flowers and such!

I haven't got that specific gun but I have had several different ones and they all have the same problem - the glue leaves tiny threads that no matter how careful you are just seem to get on on everything.

I use glossy accents for anything bulky like flowers and buttons :)

I've never even heard of that Celeste - but I'll definitely check it out!! Cordless sounds awesome!

I use my hot glue gun ALL the time! I get those little stringy glue threads too Andrea, but they don't bother me too much - I just give them a little yank and they come right off. I usually only get one thread for each thing I glue and don't have trouble pulling them off. Hot Glue is my preferred adhesive for bulky or heavier embellishments - buttons, paper flowers, felt, etc. And if I'm working, my glue gun is pretty much plugged in and ready to go. But I'm totally paranoid about forgetting to unplug it and burning my house down or something! (I'm sure this would never happen, but it's one of those recurring little things - like every time I leave the house I have that nagging feeling of "did I unplug that glue gun?").

Aren't we funny how we each have our own individual preferences? I seem to be one of the few who likes to use Mod Podge too.
