Here's a bit of extra information on a few of the prompts that might help you get started :

#21: Tutorial Challenge: Extracting...
example 1 : Extracting an entire image
example 2 : Partial extraction of an image

#13: Use any Current Triple Dip SSD Collab... A triple dip is when three SSD designers have collaborated on a kit together.
Follow this link to find everything that's currently available in the shop.

#16: Alphabets - Dots or Pebbles... Feel free to use any alphabet similar to these :
example 1: Mr. & Mrs. [either of the top two]
example 2: Alpha Chips
example 3: Candy Alpha

#12: Use a Photostrip on your Layout...
example 1: Use a template [or an element from a kit] to create your own photostrip
https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...-love-700b.jpg

example 2: Use an actual photo booth style photostrip in your layout

I have a question... What does "when you struck gold" mean?

Winning the lottery
Meeting your husband
Finding the perfect coffee shop
Finding a high end dress in a thrift shop
Meeting your best friend for the first time

Anytime you feel you got a great deal, or struck it lucky, I would think.

Saar 03-02-2017 04:23 AM

Thank you Jacinda! I understand and know what you mean now!

Fonts that look like they've come from an old fashioned typewriter.

two questions:
Green and gold does the layout have to be solely green and gold? I did two with multiple gold leaves and flowers and lots of green but there are other colors included as well.

Second would a collab with two designers and templates designed to go with the kit be a triple dip or no?

There could be other colors on your page, but green & gold should be the ones that stand out the most.

If it's not in the dip category in the shoppe, then I would say no.

Hi! This is my first time playing and am wondering if you all have a strategy to play the game?

rdjrneace 03-08-2017 06:02 AM

Would a photo of my husband and I with all of my grandkids work for the family tree? or do you have any suggestions?

Yes, that would work :)

You should at least aim to make a pattern to be able to earn the discount coupon that will be given at the start of next month ;)

With being new here and not yet able to financially create a stash of Sweet Shoppe goodies, is it permissible to use the Free kits for challenges?

Absolutely!

A-M 03-10-2017 04:41 PM

Thankyou Jacinda

A-M 03-10-2017 09:33 PM

Another question ....
If a challenge works for creating a new fancy signature or a hybrid project is that allowable?

I dabble it a little bit of hybrid as I have been a card maker since 1992 using rubber stamps and now most of my cards are partly digital.

jacinda 03-11-2017 02:46 AM

I would say hybrid projects yes, but I'm not sure about signatures. I'll let Sherly answer that one.

I would say definitely yes with the hybrid project, but not the signature. :)

A-M 03-11-2017 04:28 PM

Thankyou Jacinda and Sherly for your replies. I understand about the signature, just thought I would ask.

juliem888 03-13-2017 03:45 AM

Can you enter this with pocket page layouts?

Saar 03-13-2017 04:08 AM

Sure you can! I enter with pocket pages once in a while too.
If your layout qualifies for one of the prompts, I'd say go for it!

Yep, Sarah is right. Pocket pages definitely count, as long as they meet the challenge criteria.

juliem888 03-13-2017 06:08 PM

I won't say last question :) because I'm sure I'll have some more - but is it okay to have kits that have been retired? Or from designers that are no longer here?

bumblebeee 03-13-2017 08:43 PM

I was about to ask that same question Julie! Does retired kits from current designers count? (I know that designers no longer selling in the store won't count.)

jacinda 03-13-2017 08:48 PM

As long as the designer is still currently selling here, you can use any of their kits, retired or not.

Leablahblah 03-15-2017 04:55 PM

I have a question regarding the kits we use to play. I see the bulk of the page needs to be done with kits from the shoppe and designers but what if it's a retired kit? Do we have to use current kits?

Nevermind! I just saw the post above! ha should have looked first :)

ChristineF 03-19-2017 02:52 PM

For the paper challenge - 7 triangle shapes. Does it have to be exatly 7 triangles or can there be more? I didn't think it all the way through before starting and used this template with much more than 7.

There is a scraplift challenge posted on the blog the first Sunday of each month. The Bingo square is to participate in that challenge. You can find this month's challenge here.

Can we still do that challenge? The card says March 5, so I was thinking it was 'expired' :o

jacinda 03-19-2017 09:10 PM

It's posted on the blog on March 5, but you can use the rest of the month to actually scrap it.

Since it says a specific number, please do exactly 7 triangles on the page. :)

I know that we are not supposed to move our layouts around on the bingo card once they are done but what if I have a blackout (which I doubt I will but why not...) then can we move the one we used for the free gold cauldron to its accurate spot on the card?

I'm not sure if I'm being clear...

Swan82 03-23-2017 07:55 AM

Hi, Im very new here but Im interested to try participating the challenge! Please help me with this- Once Im done with my layout should I post it somewhere or I can continue to scrap until I make all of them and then I post my bingo card only?

Yes, you can if you have a blackout, because if you do have a blackout, the middle one is supposed to be a 'free space'.

I saw that you already posted your bingo layouts in the SSD gallery, so I think you're doing the right thing! You can post the bingo card, once you finish making all the challenges you want to do :)

Somewhat embarrassing question... I've apparently been living under a rock (or have been chasing 2 tiny kids?!?) but totally missed that Heather had retired, and used her recycling kit for the recycling challenge. How much "current designer" do I need to add for it to count? Would switching out the flowers/elements be enough? Or should I trash the whole thing?

Did you use a template from one of our current designers? If you can change most of elements, then you should be okay.

Swan82 04-03-2017 05:41 AM

Hello) I'm quite shy to ask but I'm very exited about shopping with earned discount, but I cannot find when and how this discount will be delivered to me, can anyone please direct me where to learn about that?).. just want to be motivated for April challenge too)))

Saar 04-03-2017 06:36 AM

Sugarbabe Lydia will send you a private message with a code.
She lets us know on the board when she has sent them out. So if you didn't receive it, you can let her know.
The codes are valid from the 2nd full Monday to Friday of the month.

nietis 04-03-2017 09:05 AM

Thanks, Sarah, for helping in answering that question :)
