prayers for my daughter and baby

My husband and I just walked in and got a message from our daughter saying her blood pressure went way up, she was dizzy and seeing black spots. She has also been complaining about headaches a lot and occasionally pain in her side. So I am a little worried for the little one and for my daughter. I have been telling her to drink tons of water because I thought maybe she was getting dehydrated but now I am a little worried with the other stuff added to the headaches that it could be something bad. They depend on her income to live so she financially could not stop working so she is really upset. I am just praying that it is something simple and the doctor will tell her to just try to take it a little easier.

Sending lots of prayers. Hoping it's not preeclampsia.

nanienamou 05-01-2012 03:18 PM

Sending positive thoughts! How far along is she in her pregnancy?

glumirk 05-01-2012 03:20 PM

Yikes! Sounds like pre-eclampsia! Tell her to rest as much as possible and pay attention to when her body needs a break.

Sherri Tierney 05-01-2012 03:23 PM

Oh my. It does sound like pre-eclampsia. I'm so sorry she is going through this. Whatever it is, tell her that she can worry about the job later. Her and the baby come first. She can get assistance to help with the finances if it comes to that. I'm praying!

Praying, Jessica! I hope it turns out to be nothing!

jessica31876 05-01-2012 03:28 PM

She is 16 weeks 2 days. Pre-eclampsia was my main worry. I had it two out of three pregnancies. But mine developed much later

Lyd 05-01-2012 03:31 PM

Yeah. It does sound like preeclampsia but it seems pretty early for that. Sending lots of p&pt.

I just talked to her and she is at the hospital now so she said she would call me as soon as she knows anything at all. I think they are sending her straight to obstetrics instead of keeping her in the ER.

hollyxann 05-01-2012 03:38 PM

They normally send you to L&D instead of the actual ER. I was at the hospital 3 times before I actually had Kennedy and none were for false labor. But each time I went into the ER they sent me straight up to the L&D.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I'll be praying, too.

jessica31876 05-01-2012 03:47 PM

I told her we would come to the hospital but she said not to that she would call if we needed to come up :(

So I just wait and worry.

Sending thoughts and prayers!

Sending prayers and good thoughts, Jessica!

LoriJ 05-01-2012 05:06 PM

Sending positive vibes to her and that little baby. Hope everything turns out fine!

Just called her and she said they are sending her home that more then likely it is just an anxiety attack and nothing to serious.

It is a little upsetting I learned that her mother-in-law came right up to the hospital but when I asked if she wanted me there she said no that she would call me. So MIL is there getting all of the information first hand while I sit here waiting and worrying hoping she will call.

So glad to hear it's nothing serious!!!

Her MIL probably didn't ask like you did. :D She probably just charged over there... if your daughter is anything like me that would have irked me. I wouldn't want the nervous grandma's there making me feel even more anxious. LOL! ;) I'm sure she really really appreciated that you asked since she probably didn't want anyone there.

Glad she is OK and I agree with Brook, I would have been annoyed, too! Especially if my anxiety was already high as it was! Keeping her and baby in my prayers.

hollyxann 05-01-2012 05:29 PM

Glad to hear everything is ok.

And like Brook said, MIL probably just showed up without asking.

jessica31876 05-01-2012 05:43 PM

I guess so...I am glad she is ok. Worried about her anxiety though because she has been having issues with it for about a month when some idiot hit her in the rear and kept going. She was ok and so was her vehicle...but now she has some issues with driving in traffic and works right across the street from Ron Jons Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach....so it is really bad traffic all the time.

tanyiadeskins 05-01-2012 06:24 PM

I am glad to hear that she is all right Jessica. Wow, you have just had so many things on your plate lately, sheesh! Bless your heart.

haydensmommy217 05-01-2012 06:29 PM

Glad to hear that everything is okay, I agree with brook she probably just showed up.

LJSDesigns 05-01-2012 07:29 PM

I'm glad she and the baby are alright Jessica. I will be sending a ton of prayers your way. Being calm can some times be one of the hardest things to do.

Arual 05-01-2012 07:39 PM

I'm glad she's okay.

I agree with Brook, and perhaps if there is a 'next time' she won't be calling her MIL... cause she won't want her to race on over to the hospital again... :)

ryliesmom 05-01-2012 08:04 PM

I'm so glad she is ok!

glumirk 05-01-2012 08:10 PM

Glad to hear she's doing ok! I was still in school with my first pregnancy, and my senior design group (all males because I'm an engineer) knew that they just needed to give me food when I started getting too stressed out. Snacks and a water bottle at arms reach made a huge difference for me. With my second, a kitchen stool that I could use for as many standing tasks as possible, along with 30 second lie downs helped me through.

jessica31876 05-01-2012 08:20 PM

WIth everything that has happened lately I just am so stressed and then the thought of something being wrong with her or the baby I could hardly think. I had to fight the urge to go to her and just wait to hear from her. She still got mad at me for calling after I had not heard anything for three hours. And I guess the reason the MIL is there is to bring some needed paperwork.

There is kinda a history with his family though. Way to much to get into but I can see how things with be with her. Not so much her husband but she has already started planning my daughters baby shower!! Has not even talked to me about it yet.

Arual 05-01-2012 08:23 PM

Ohhhhh she has a monster-in-law!?? Ugh... poor girl!

jessica31876 05-01-2012 08:27 PM

Oh and because she is a pharamacy tech for a very busy pharmacy I went and got her some little containers that she can pack stuff like fresh fruit, vegies, yogurt, nuts and granola to have on hand so she is eating throughout the day. Her last dr appt they were on her case a little cause she lost three pounds. She is still where she should be but the dr said she should not be losing at all

rachaelsscraps 05-01-2012 08:55 PM

I'm glad she's okay, I hope she'll be able to relax some!
