Only one of them was my idea LOL...the smarties one...I have no idea whose idea the lollipop one was since it was found on pinterest and I never saw it on pinterest, only here.

I'm glad to see so many people doing it; I think it's really cute and I think they are going to go over like crazy at Naomi's ballet Valentine party tomorrow. Parker doesn't really have a party to take his to, I'm just mailing them to a few relatives and he's taking a few to the babysitter's house next Monday (but she only keeps my kids LOL)

I don't know how we'll all top this next year ;)

and my youngest had to have them in bags because of the candy so i did this.

the tags have the kids' names to deliver them to.

LenaGardner 02-11-2011 12:26 PM

That's brilliant, Celeste!!!

Naomi had her Valentine's party last night at ballet and I got a few interesting responses...the moms were looking on the back of them to see where I got them printed at, and then one of them finally asked me. When I told them I created them myself, one or two of them actually acted like they didn't believe me LOL. If I do something like this next year, I'll put them in bags since the sucker made it side heavy and awkward to handle.

So, just curious...how big is the finished product? 4 x 6-ish??

I totally love this idea and am hoping to do DD's this weekend! The bag idea is fabulous. Hadn't thought of doing that. :)

Super cute idea! I'm going to have to remember this for next year, although I doubt my boys will cooperate for it *sigh*

I did 4x6's. JJ's are bagged with a toy story pencil and Abby's have foam cards glued to the back with her classmates names on them.

CA Dreamer 02-11-2011 01:51 PM

Me too! Love this idea. And,DS loved it too!

Everyone loved mine and laughed (which is fine). I did 4x6 since this is what Sam's Club prints and it really was super cheap! I have to be picky about the candy DS gets because of his peanut allergy so for me I was going to buy candy/cards separately anyway. I sent mine of to the all the grandparents/great-grandparents yesterday. Oh well they will be late, but with the crazy snow..can't be helped.

CA Dreamer 02-12-2011 12:37 PM

DS had his Valentine's Day party yesterday. Everyone was amazed. We got a lot of "how did you do that!?!?!?" Some remembered last years and were curious to see what we did again. The staff totally loved them.

I just printed 4x6 (they were only 13cents each at Costco). I had one sheet of wallets printed up as a test and those would work for the dumdum candies quite well too. Those are only 39 cents for 4 prints. We were out ~$7.00 for prints and candy for the class.

Here's how my DD's cards turned out. I was pretty happy with them. :)

Here's ours. We did smaller ones (approx. 3.5x2.5) and used the Dum dum sized pops.

Our little brat (my 10 year old brother) refused to do these, so he is giving out Fun Dip this year. YAY for Fun Dip being delicious, BOO for it not being all cute and personalized like these.

Wonder if these will be too overused by the time my baby is baked and in school??? Lol
