What's everybody up to this weekend? It's a quiet weekend for us -- just hanging out. My son has a birthday part to go to tonight and the rest of us are going out to dinner but otherwise, glorious laziness!

Working on sunday

Not a whole lot...just doing some laundry and things around the house. My son has a birthday party at noon but it's across the street so I don't have to get dressed to take him anywhere. :)

recovering from a sunburn and an 8 1/2 hour shift outdoors yesterday.

I took my 6yo son and the baby into the city on Saturday (about 45 minutes away from where we live). We saw a Lego City show and watched the sun set from the harbour - it was wonderful. :)

We're having the whole first floor of our house painted this week, so preparing for that is taking most of our weekend. I hung some trim and finished cleaning up sawdust from sanding the stairs (I removed the old carpet). Today we finish packing everything up and bringing it to the basement or bedrooms.

I took the kids to the splashpad Saturday night and then to DQ afterwards for a treat. My 3yo has been to one before but he didn't remember so it was like his first time all over again. He cried all the way to the car when we had to leave.

We just chilled at the house this afternoon after church. Once DH got home, I went to the store for food while he and the kids played outside. We are starting week 2 of Whole30 so I needed to get the food today so I could prep it tomorrow morning. There are no shortcuts in Whole30 that is for sure!
