Our Christmas looks very different from most just because we are foster parents.

Christmas eve boxes - PJs, hot cocoa, new movie/book
Christmas day - 3 presents from us - 1. Something they want 2. Something they need (clothes, etc). 3 something for encouraging learning (example: swimming lesson certificate).
Limiting the list like this will hopefully facilitate careful thought about what kiddos ask for. Stockings - stuffers and a letter from us. The letter will have memories recorded and encouragement for the next stage of their life.

Of course, grandparents will spoil them. Lol... and my older kiddo may receive many gifts from the Angel Tree for children in foster care. He may not actually be with us for Christmas Since he'll be leaving our home soon, I'll probably get him a box of food, school supplies, and his own bible
