That's what I was thinking, LOL. We have 3 different Amazon accounts for our family of 5. I have one, the younger 2 share one, and the oldest has his own. All 3 kids have Kindle Fires. I decided I didn't want the kids on my account because many of my books are not meant for elementary schoolers. Once they move beyond Free Time (a kid safe environment for younger kids) there's no way to stop the kids from accessing anything on the account. Oldest has his own because he does a lot of game buying with gift cards and Amazon coins, and it's easiest to keep things straight when the other 2 can't access his gift cards.
I use the Family Library with my younger kids' account, and there is a way to do it without sharing credit card access. Unfortunately, that also greatly limits what Amazon will let you share. It's been too long since I set it up; I mostly use it so I can add apps purchased with their account to both of their Fires.
