Yes...when I was in college my car was broken into while I was at work. I worked at an insurance office in a really crappy side of town. It was finals week and the only thing they could steal was my backpack with everything I needed in it. We found all of my papers scattered in the back alley. Everything else in my pack was taken...even my graphing calculator that my parents made me work for to purchase on my own while in high school. Math was my favorite and I took advanced classes. I literally cried knowing that was gone. Stupid, I know, because it's replaceable but I just felt so violated.
When I was a kid one of our trucks was stolen while we were at my stepfather's softball game. It was found days later burned to a crisp. I just don't understand people.
