This thread makes me feel a bit better about my girls age and still having training wheels. They will be 7 in August, and they just got their bike with training wheels for their 6th bday... We rode around a bit last fall, but not too much. I'm the one holding them back. They want to ride all the time, though they don't realize that one day the training wheels will come off and they'll have to balance themselves. I've told dh that he's going to be the one who has to do it. I'm terrified I'll see blood when the training wheels come off. I can't handle that AT ALL. I would freak - the littlest thing twists up my stomach. And little Chloe's broken her collar bone twice just from tripping and falling to the ground. Dh is always the calm one, so it's his job
