There will always be paper scrapping. Digi-scrapping takes computer skills and many, many people do not have those skills. Nor do they want to learn them. My IRL friends still paper scrap (because I got them started years ago) and they would never consider digi-scrapping.
I still love both, because both do the job of capturing memories.
