Oh my goodness, yes!!! DSD is still celebrated and we celebrate it again in May with iNSD!!!
(it's also very possible I have the DSD and iNSD mixed up because I can never keep them straight! 
)
SSD usually goes all out during DSD with amazing product releases, games and challenges! I'm SO curious to see what they will do this year!!
