My DD got Felicity 2 years ago when she was 11. She wanted her because of her story. She didn't really "play" with her at her age but she read the book that came with her from cover to cover and the doll sits in a very special spot on her book shelf. BTW, it was a Christmas present and she knew it was a very special doll that would not have been gotton any other way.
