It is a little upsetting I learned that her mother-in-law came right up to the hospital but when I asked if she wanted me there she said no that she would call me. So MIL is there getting all of the information first hand while I sit here waiting and worrying hoping she will call.

Her MIL probably didn't ask like you did.
She probably just charged over there... if your daughter is anything like me that would have irked me. I wouldn't want the nervous grandma's there making me feel even more anxious. LOL!
I'm sure she really really appreciated that you asked since she probably didn't want anyone there.
