Default December 5th RQOTD

I almost forgo my question for today! Do you have a favourite or special ornament that goes on your Christmas Tree (feel free to share another decoration or special momento if you don't celebrate)

We just finished putting up our tree about 10 minutes ago... and I like these stars we made for my boys with their names on them. They're pretty simple but they HAVE to go on every year.

No, they're all plastic. With a cat and a boy in the house all the pretty glass ornaments broke years ago.

I have a handful of ornaments that were my grandmother's, which she brought over from Germany when they moved here with my mom many years ago - they go on the top of the tree so the cats can't play with them.

Cheyanne goes shopping with my parents every year to get a new Hallmark ornament - she got her 15th one this year. When she moves out on her own they'll be her first set of ornaments for her own tree.

my husband and I both have ornaments on the tree that we've had since we were children. I also have the last two remaining ornaments from my parents first christmas together. My boys get a new ornament each year as a tradition so those always have to go on the tree too.

I have a Jim Shore Rudolph ornament that is on our tree. Otherwise, the ornaments are just red, green, silver and gold glass balls. I just love Rudolph too much to not hang him.

All my ornaments from Disneyland Paris. Didn't put up a tree this year because of the kittens in my house, but I did find a safe place for those ornaments

I have a couple from when I was a kid I don't put on the tree, but I really should.

I'll have to take a picture of my favorite ones.

There are 2 Santa Clauses i bought the first year Sean and I lived together I love them both. And a white tiger inside a Christmas wreath that i bought for Sean when we went to Busch Gardens that same year I think.

not necessarily favorite, but our most meaningful ones are the ones that honor our lost babies. Most of the ornaments on our tree signify favorite events from the years we have been together so far.

A number of years ago I got some mirrored frame ornaments from Target. I'm glad to have the photos on the tree. Now they make those ornaments with dates on them. I wish they still had an option without the date but I did decide to pick up a couple of them with 2014 to add to the tree this year.

As a child my mother had a porcelain Snoopy ornament that she would hang at the top of the tree out of reach. I loved that ornament. I collect Snoopy ornaments now so I enjoy seeing Snoopy ornaments on the tree. My nephews gave me a Snoopy ornament that was sold at Blockbuster. That one has special meaning because they gave it to me.

We have an ornament that one of the kids made in preschool call Peanut Baby Jesus (it's Jesus in a cradle, but he's made from a peanut). It makes us all laugh hysterically when it comes out of the box and someone yells "IT"S PEANUT BABY JESUS" and we marvel at how wacky it is!

Every year we buy a Hallmark ornament that represents something about us, our travels, our life together, etc. for that year. DH and I celebrated our first Christmas together in 1994. We just hung 20 very special ornaments on the tree and talked about each one. We have to buy this year's ornament still.
