Default Hybrid Ladies, Question!

Hello ladies! When you print out hybrid projects what sort of paper do you print on? I have matte scrapbook Epson paper but the colors are very dull. My photo paper is too shiny. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a Canon printer, and make sure to use Canon papers and ink. Sometimes I'll use Matt Photo paper, sometimes I'll used High Resolution paper depending on the project and what I have handy. I've heard great things about Red River paper, but we don't have that here so can't say I've tried it myself.

Is matte scrapbook paper the same as matte photo paper? If not, try that.

Hmm.... double check that you have the right settings set up on your printer for the type of paper you are using... also you can get photo paper that is matte... is this a problem that just started, or has always been dull?

I use double-sided matte Epson premium presentation paper. I too would check your settings and make sure you are printing to "matte photo paper" and set on "high".

Thanks for the input ladies! I have an Epson Wide Format printer but it is about 6 years old. I stopped printing my scrap pages out because I just did not like the matte quality it gave. Print them at Persnickety Prints now and love them! All I have is this scrap paper or epson photo premium glossy. Will look and see if I can find photo paper in a matte and see if it is better than the scrapbook paper. Thanks again ladies!

I have an Epson printer too and I found that even with the Epson paper and settings, I didn't always get the color I wanted. I ended up making a test sheet in Photoshop and running it through the printer a bunch of times with different settings until I figured out the one I liked the best.

You might also want to check whether the printer is managing the color or if Photoshop was managing the color. I've found that unless I let the printer manage the color and not Photoshop, the Epson settings looked dull and terrible.
