camera phone favorites...

I used to be pretty happy with the photos i took with my iphone 4s. but any more it seems that every picture I take is just ugly [ie: reallyreally grainy]. even photos outdoors tend to be poor quality... of course, sometimes, if all of the planets are in perfect alignment, I get lucky and end up with a terrific shot. but I've grown weary of those odds.

so I'm looking to upgrade/change my phone and am hoping some folks will chime in and offer some suggestions. I'm not tied to getting another iphone [though am wondering if all of my apps would transfer to an android, or if I'd have to repurchase them] and don't have too many preferences... I'd really just like to get something that will take a decent photo without having to cast a spell and cross my fingers.
