Asking for Prayers

Today we experienced the worst ever rainfall to hit us in 20 yrs. Our main city, Manila is underwater and experts say that it wont let up in the next 12 hrs. If it wont stop, Im afraid our metro city will be erased from the map.

Katrina dumped 1" of rain in 3 hrs & another 0.5" per hr over next 5 hrs. Ondoy (our typhoon) dumped average of 2.24" per hr for 1st 6 hrs.

What is so sad is our govt is so ill equipped with these situations. Most families, even affluent ones, are on roofs waiting to be rescued 13 hrs ago Its already midnight here and rescuers cant even go to where they are
