~January/February 2012 book and discussion~

I thought that this was such an interesting book. Last year, I participated in scrappingelated Happiness Project blog hop where we tackled her topics month by month. It was lots of fun. I had borrowed it from the library, but just purchased it on my Kindle. I'm going to reread and catch up with you guys. :D
 
I am just getting into it - just finishing January. I also have the urge to clean. LOL

I am finding some of it a little "textbook-ish", if you know what I mean. Too many stats and facts...not enough story.

I also disagree a little bit with her "happiness is the reason for living" theory...although I don't disagree with wanting to be happy! An interesting read so far..
 
I'm almost finished - on November. I do like it, but after about April it got harder for me to read. I still enjoyed it, but as her ideas differed more from mine it was harder to stick with it.
 
Libraries can be such a pain sometimes. I was making a huge dent in this book and was really getting into it when I had to return it because it was on hold for someone. Putting myself back on the hold list so I can finish it.
 
Do y'all wanna carry this on into Feb? I'm only on April (isuck)

if not we can choose a new book but I'd love to finish it up!
 
I'm all for continuing it - I've only read a couple chapters because I read twilight for another book club and then ended up reading the other 3 books in that series too instead. I do want to still finish this!
 
same here. I didn't get as far, because by the time I got the book I was trying to finish another book. Turns out there were over 30 people with that book on the Kindle waiting list, so I ended up waiting for it on the regular library's hard book list for a bit. So I'm still on January....
 
Wow. I am having the hardest time concentrating on this book! It has given me a lot to think about so far, but for some reason I just haven't been able to get into it very well and find myself having to almost force myself to read it, lol.
 
I finished the book, but I must say my interest waned when she started getting into friendships in June. I think it was at that point that her approach started turning me off. After that I only half-heartedly read the book, though my interest picked up a little during the September chapter.
