Default Supernatural readers~cross the veil here

So I have burned thru a ton of supernatural book series the last couple of years.
Anyone have any recommendations for a new supernatural something great to read?

Heres my list of what I read already:

Harry Potter series
The Hollows ~Rachel Morgan series
Jane Yellowrock series
Charlie Davidson series
Rylee Anderson series
Harper Connolly series
Vampire Acadamy series
Twilight (of course)
Sookie Stackhouse series
Anne Rice's series Mayfair witches and Vampire Chronicals (of course)
Anita Blake series (the first 10 or 15 books were amazing, then it turned into the garbage it is now)
Alex Craft series
Mercedes Thompson series
Sabine Kane series
black dagger brotherhood
Meredith Gentry series
Riley Jensen series
Kitty Norville series
Kate Daniels series
House of Knight series
Mortal Instruments series
Innkeeper Chronicals (now reading the second book on her blog chapter by chapter)

Anyone have any suggestions on what Im missing out on?

I'm not familiar with all of those series, so I'm not sure if you're only looking for series about vampires and witches...but if not, Karen Marie Moning's Fever series is a wonderful urban fantasy series about the Fae.

You're missing the Chicagoland Vampire series by Chloe Neill

I really like the Mercedes Thompson series, too. This is a great list, I'll have to check some of these out! Thank you!

Some of my favorites are already on your list. Other series I loved are:

Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Underworld (Bitten)
Richelle Mead's Succubus series (Succubus Blues)
Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress Series (Halfway to the Grave)
Rachel Vincent's Shifters (Stray)
Carolyn Crane's The Disillusionists Trilogy (Mind Games)
Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon (Witchling)

@ Meg thanks!
I just DL'ed the first Fever book sampler to my phone. I am half way thru the most recent Charlie Davidson book so by tomorrow I need something to read!

@ Jenn ... Thanks! I will definitely check out Chicagoland
If I had to pick a series to start with... I love the Rachel Morgan (the hollows) series.
If you really like Mercedes Thompson, then you will really like Jane Yellowrock. Jane Yellowrock and Rachel Morgan are two of my all time top favorite series. The first Rachel Morgan book is a little slow, but the rest make up for it ten fold in my opinion.

If you like to laugh and you like snarky, then Charlie Davidson is top on my list of favorite main characters.

If you want a series that has concluded (so you can read them all uninterrupted) Harper Connolly, Riley Jensen and Vampire Academy are wrapped up. Riley Jensen has the most sex, Harper Connolly is good and Vampire Academy is young adult reader. Minimal sex, but more grown up than young reader. I really loved the Vampire Academy books, they are fast, light reads.

@ Rachel... Thanks! I will totally check those out!! I forgot I read the Night Huntress books, it was a while ago! I also forgot another series that I gave up on about 3 or 4 books in. Now i can't remember the name of it!

I had a really hard time getting into the first Dresden book so I stopped reading it about 30 pages in. Should I have finished it, does it pick up? How many books are there in that series?

The first one was hard to get thru, compared to the next two. I think the thing I struggled with is that I am so used to hearing a girls voice in my head when I read, hearing Harry in my head was so different! The second one he is dealing with werwolves. I really liked that book, and the third he deals with vampires and it was probably equally as good. I DL the fourth one last night. I suppose that says I like them. I would say they don't rank in my top 10 favorite series, but they may move up the rank as they move forward.

In general I do not like books or movies where every where the hero/heroine turns they are getting slapped down. It's one thing to overcome challenges, but its another when someone is systematically being treated badly everywhere by everyone or having some problem or barrier pop up non-stop, I get frustrated. I prefer when people have allies and that is something that the first book didn't really give him. Even Murphy treats him so badly. The second and third book he has friends.

I think there are about 18-20 books in the series but I am not sure if any of those are short stories or graphic novels etc.

Did you also read The Infernal Devices? Prequel series to The Mortal Instruments, also very good.
And I also really liked the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

Glad you are liking the Harry Dresden books. I think they are a little more adult and grittier than some supernatural fiction, which makes for a nice change.

Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon is fantastic. She has a couple other series (I think one is set in the future - haven't read it though, but I hear is great). This is my hands down fave author, so I always recommend her to everyone who reads this genera

The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning is pretty intense, but I loved it. She also did a Highlander series that is fantastic (has time travel & sexy Scotsmen lol, and is a teeny bit connected to the Fever series. Nothing major, but they're both set in the same world & same Fae world.)

Just finished the Divergent series. I was happily impressed.

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

Thanks! I am adding sherrilyn to my list to check out. I think I read one of her books before, maybe the chronicles of Nick?

Fever is also officially on the list

I discovered The dresden files became a TV show. it only lasted for one season but it is really fun to see it acted out! I visualize Harry Dresden as Clint Eastwood so its a little harder seeing him as someone else but fun nonetheless.

Yes, she wrote the Chronicles of Nick. Nick is in the Dark Hunter series (he's a huge part of it - bigger than I ever imagined). After things went so well with the DH series, she decided to do a series about his early years when he was a teen (thus it being geared towards young readers). I keep meaning to read it (since it's becoming a movie soon) but I haven't yet. It's on my toead list, so I will eventually
