Default Maybe I've Gone Too Far?
I've been wanting to take photos of my kids sleeping. I managed to sneak in and out of Mya's room undetected and got some cute photos. Not-so-lucky in my son's room. He woke up with the first click of the camera. He was good humored enough about it, but tonight I go up to tuck him in and find this on his door.



He said, "It means no one is allowed in my room while I'm sleeping. Especially moms with cameras."

OMG, I've done this, too! that's so funny!

my oldest DD (5) sleeps like a rock - she never wakes up. DS (almost 3) wakes up first click every time!

So Misty - what settings are you using to get these photos? I'm always disappointed with the pics anyhow, because it looks like broad daylight once the flash goes off and the photos never capture the mood of the room.

No flash! Do you have a DSLR? Use a large aperature (like 1.8/2.0/whatever you can), a slow shutter speed, and up your ISO. If you can, try turning on a little lamp just to get some light in the room so it's not totally dark.

My kids rooms are pretty dark...Guess I need to turn on some low lighting before I take the pic.

I actually got an awesome pic of DS napping one day- I scrapped that one as a night time pic. lighting was perfect!
