Physical To Do Lists or App/Computer To Do Lists?
How do you keep track of all of your To Do List items?
I recently took a course on personal productivity and the instructors provided some great examples of physical options to post on walls or fridges (at home). I have a whiteboard at the office where I list all of the projects I've been assigned to work on - but I don't use it as a To Do List (or at least not consistently). Mostly, my work To Do's are in a colour-coded calendar in Outlook. At home, my To Do's are in a colour-coded calendar in Google Calendars. I'm pretty consistent, haha! So, do you use a whiteboard, magnetic to to list, notebook, or some other physical way of tracking what you need to do? Or do you use a computer program or app? Curious minds want to know! |

For work I don't need a list - I know what I have to do each day so that's a non-issue. At home I have a white board on my fridge and I keep a running list at my desk so if I think of things while I'm working I jot them down.
As far as appointments, daughter's work/sports schedule, they get written down on a calendar that hangs next to my desk. Sometimes I put them in my phone but I'm more apt to glance at that calendar than I am my phone. |

I prefer a physical list over the digital one, because I found that when I write them on a piece of paper, my brain mentally 'writes' those tasks on my memory so that I'll be likely to remember them.
And for me, a simple bullet point list will do the job, nothing fancy.

We use Google Calendar and have multiple color codes. For my actual To Dos, I use a planner and notebook. Paper works for me much better than digital.

I prefer physical too. I tried the digital way but it seems like it doesn't stick with me the same as a physical one. I have a planner I use for appointments etc. and I also keep a running bullet style list for other to-do stuff like work items etc. on my desk.

I have to use a paper list... I've tried digital multiple times and I always fail to keep up with the system. I love my planner and write everything in it!

Physical list all the way. I love my planners! My husband prefers digital but has a paper planner for work & writing down ideas. For family and anything else, he keeps it in his phone.

Paper! I have a planner and I write to do lists.
I will make to do lists in the notes on my ipad but I frequently print those out as physical lists.

I think it's so funny we do so many things digital, but prefer to keep physical lists! I, too, prefer writing my to-do lists on paper... nothing beats the feeling of vigorously crossing items off the list. I use a very pretty notebook (I bought it from a lady who repurposes vintage books) and do all my designing planning on it.

I've tried using calendar and to-do apps, and they just don't work as well as paper for me. I have a planner that I write everything in. I also use notepads for additional lists.

I've always used physical to-do lists. Lately, I've been using a physical planner/bullet journal and it has made me much more efficient.

paper for to-do lists... I have different list s for different aspects... one for homeschool, one for cleaning house, one for scrapping, one for random stuff. My husband does everything with the To-do-ist app....

Paper for me too! I need to write it down to actually remember it. I also kinda love to actually cross things off. It's so gratifying!

I'm horrible at remembering things and very good at procrastinating. I have several lists on my phone/mac and then I have lists in my planner. But I continously make lists on notepaper, in a notebook, or on the back of a stub of paper at work because I need to remember things as soon as I think of them. So a paper/digital hybrid solution for me.

I love love love to type and organize things on the computer, or in app organizers but I feel I don't ever look at them :S I am old school and NEED to write it all out, and my notebooks work fine for that. I am a person that makes a TON of lists (even lists of lists that I need to make) LOL

For my to-do lists, I use the 2Do app on my computer, phone, and tablet. I LOVE it. It's so customizable and can do amazing things with recurring tasks, etc. I'm getting better at using it for brain dumps too. It's very versatile.
I'm currently trying to figure out a system for time blocking my daily schedule. I'm tempted by paper, but I almost always go back to a digital system. I just haven't found quite the right thing for me yet.
