Default new movies

We rented two movies last night from Redbox. We got The Gift which apparently is an older movie. Kinda a thriller/suspense. We also got Inglorious Bastards. It was a war movie and beyond stupid!! The Gift was pretty good. I mean it was not something that would be worthy of awards but it was good enough to keep me interested through the whole movie. Doesnt hurt that Keanu Reeves was in it LOL

We got two free rentals because the machine was messed up and we could not pick the movies up after reserving them online so we got Hardwired tonight as well as Beyond A Reasonable Doubt with Micheal Douglas and Jesse Metcalfe. I loved Beyond a Reasonable Doubt. It was really good. It was another suspense/drama type movie. Kinda similar to Double Jeopardy I think as it leads you to believe that someone was innocent when they were really guilty of what they were accused of. Hardwired is about a company who is implanting devices into people so they can bombard them with advertisement. Kinda unbelieveable and weird science fictiony type movie. Only so-so but if science fiction is your thing you might like it.

Well anyhow we have another code to use and need some recomendations for another movie...seen anything worth watching lately that is out on DVD?

Oh I will watch pretty much any movie but it is kinda hit or miss whether I will like it. I do like some sci-fi and some action but those are really more movies my husband picks to watch that he likes and I just watch with him

Ive looked at The Hangover a few times. Have not got it yet though.

I also recently rented Transformers 2 and loved it.

I think my problem with Inglourious Bastards was it was so unrealistic and then the whole subtitle thing really killed it. I could not follow what they were saying because the subtitles went by to quickly and I lost interest really fast. While I normally love war movies I want them to be more historically accurate which of course this one was not

Inglorious Bastards was so retarded. like one of the worst movies ever. It was just boring half the time. bleck. Hated that movie

Public Enemies bored me to tears as well. We didn't even finish it, lol!

All About Steve was funny in a stupid way I think. night at the museum the second one was cute, but not even half as funny as the first one. District 9 was really really gross. I think my eyes were closed like half the movie, but the story was kinda interesting, lol

I loved both of the Night at the Museum movies. They were funny enough to keep me interested yet still something Id be ok with my son to watch with me.

I was not sure about District 9 though. Looked interesting but was not really sure what type of movie it was. I saw War of the Worlds and thought it was really dumb. Was it similar to that? It is an alien invasion kinda movie too right?

Oh my! I was thinking of the same thing.

I watched Love Happens because I love watching movies with Jeniffer Aniston but I don't like it very much.

Have u seen 7 pounds? I saw it at the movies and loved it. I think if you like double jeopardy, you'd like it...not that their story lines are similar...they are just similar in the keep u guessing sort of way.....

Is the time travellers wife out on dvd yet? Probably not, but i loved it sooo much. Definately look out for that one.

I watched the proposal and the hangover the other day...Ditto to all above comments about Ryan Reynolds...the man is a god....and i was pleasantly surprised by the hangover. Was actually quite amusing when normally i hate that sort of comedy.

I'm glad you said that Crystal. We watched Public Enemies the other day and it was sooooo slow. We stopped it too.

The Ugly Truth is really funny!

Fighting was good, came out a while ago.

I've been watching a lot of seasons of shows on Netflix.

I just finished watching Glee Season 1 disk 3 (already watched 1 & 2 this week) ...

I saw the Proposal this week and it was good.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs comes out Tuesday...hoping we get that from Netflix real soon. Wondering if it would be worth buying...if we would watch it multiple times or not. Young teenagers that like funny movies (M*A*S*H, Home Improvement, Myth Busters, Hogan Heroes)...think they will like it?

LOL!!! First, I RARELY watch movies because I can't stay awake through them. Secondly, if it's not a funny comedy, romantic comedy, or romantic drama you can have it for the most part.

I have liked both of the National Treasure movies, both of the Transformer movies (the first was better) and both of the Night At the Museum movies. I cannot stand scary movies or movies with too much violence/action in them.

Oh, and DS made me turn on Marley & Me after The Proposal last night and I bawled like a big baby.... of course it doesn't help that we had to put one of our dogs down in June.

I cried watching Marley and Me as well. My husband thinks its funny that I cry during mvoies.

I also watched a documentary the other day called The Cove. I was crying so bad during that video. I love dolphins and to see what is happening to them in Japan made me so sad. Broke my heart really.

I like the Hangover too, and I watched the ugly truth the other day, which was OK, but I didn't love it. SO hated it, but he always hates those kind of movies. Love the proposal, and I liked Definately Maybe which has Ryan Reynolds in it as well. It's not so new though.

If you like stand-up, the new Michael Macintyre DVD is really funny (although maybe a bit British)

Gosh I really liked Inglorious Basterds. It wasn't meant to be an historically correct movie. Think of it as an "alternative" ending to the war. Anyway, it was typical Tarantino....so you gotta kinda love him to love the movie.

Michael Clayton is another good movie if you like suspense/dramas.

yea I did not know he had anything to do with the movie. I dont like his movies. Another thing that bothered me is it seemed like they tried to make the movie humorous and it just seemed like it didnt work. My husband loves war movies and he didnt like it. My daughter likes Quinten Tarentino and she didnt like it. So I think its kinda hit or miss on that movie.
