Default Ideas for a grieving pet parent?

I know it rather pales in comparison to losing a person, especially with what has happened to our community recently, but this just happens to be occurring at the same time for me and I could use some feedback.

My baby sister is losing her kitty of 11 years to leukemia. She is beyond heartbroken. Has had him her entire adult life, she doesn't have kids and he's basically been her baby.

You guys have any ideas on something meaningful I can do for her? I found some gifty type things on Etsy but none of them were quite right (ie. a keychain with his name on it).

Have her send you all her favourite photos of him, and put together a photo album for her. Can be as simple or as scrapbooky as you have time for.

I was thinking about that as an option. It was actually the first thing I thought of, and I wondered if my BIL could get them to me on the sly. But then I second-guessed myself because I always make scrappy gifts, ya know?

You could make a donation to an animal charity in his name maybe?

One of my good friends had a pawprint of her pup made and framed it. She really cherishes it.

When my kitty was dying I took a paw print and put it in a photo space of a collage frame and filled the rest with his photos. It absolutely always bring a smile to my face when I see it. I love the scrapbook idea as well.

My vet sent me a sympathy card with my cat's paw prints. I still have and really appreciated the gesture as I have something of him besides pictures.

We had to put our 10 year old kitty to sleep in March because he had congestive heart failure and couldn't breathe. It was heartbreaking. The vet was fabulous and a couple of weeks later sent us a sympathy card signed by all of the staff and a card with Vampire's paw prints. This was so thoughtful and meant the world to us.

When we put our kitten to sleep a few weeks ago, we got a little paw print ornament with her name. We could bring it home and decorate it, but we all decided to keep it white--the way it came from the vet.

Another thing we wanted to do was get her paw print with a stamp pad and make a photo/paw print frame to hang on our walls. Our only issue was she was so small and by the time they put her to sleep her feet were cold so we couldn't get a transfer of her paw print on to paper

I'm so sorry she's going through this. Losing a pet, no matter how long you've had them, hurts. Thinking of her and your family as you try to comfort her during this time!

THIS! This is exactly perfect and I wouldn't have thought of it on my own. Thank you!
