When I was a kid, we always went to my grandparents after chruch on Sunday for Pot Roast. We would play outside with our cousins most of the day, have dinner and then about 7 pm we would gather in front of their TV, which only got one channel, and watch the Wonderful World of Disney. Is it any wonder I still love Mickey?

I remember Wonderful World of Disney too! Every Sunday night, my dad used to pop a whole bunch of popcorn and make chocolate shakes. Then we'd sit around the table eating and laughing. Those are some of my best childhood memories.

My Sunday night memories consist of time spent at the ice rink. We had club ice so after dinner (or before - I can't remember!) we would be at the rink practicing.
I also remember WWofD One of my favorites movies was the one about the triplets...can't remember the name! But there were triplet girls in it

I remember watching Wonderful World of Disney now and then but our bedtime was 8pm and it came on at 7 and if I remember right it lasted at least an hour and a half, maybe 2. We didn't always get to finish the movies because of this.
We didn't have any real traditions for anything really when I was growing up. I think that is why I am all about traditions now. |

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, followed by the Wonderful World of Disney.
Later on, I seem to rememember that Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys were on Sunday nights, or was it Saturday? Some of us are showing our age! LOL! |

When we were little we rode motorcycles every weekend with a group of my parent's friends. So Sunday nights consisted of cleaning the bikes and then Mom using Qtips to clean our ears and noses to get rid of all the dirt. LOL! For dinner we usually had pizza because it was easy after being gone all weekend.

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and the Wonderful World of Disney for me too! Don't remember what we ate. I don't think it was anything special though. We had a large meal when we got home from church, so probably didn't eat much dinner.

Before my mom started homeschooling me, Sunday nights were largely spent doing homework I'd put off all weekend....lol. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I have no idea, K!
We went to church on Sundays. Sometimes we had youth group that afternoon/evening. I don't remember doing anything in particular that night, though. I don't remember WWoD, either. Sigh. I'm lame. And ancient. |

Sunday nights were nothing special when I was a kid. Just the family lounging around staring at the boob tube.
These days, as a mum, my sunday nights are filled with making sure school uniform is ready for the week ahead and getting the kids bathed. Once they're in bed, it's date night for hubs and I. We generally just sit on the couch and chatter away since the week is always so busy and time out can be hard to come by

Sunday's were church day and family day- no friends allowed over unless it was a special occasion kind of thing. After church we'd have a big family dinner, work on puzzles, do family stuff. Also sunday nights we called our grandparents, back in the days of long distance charges, lol.

I'm around the same age as most of you, but I don't remember the Disney thing at all. I guess we didn't watch much tv on Sundays. There really wasn't a set pattern to our weekends. Sunday morning was 3 hours of religious school, but we were home by lunchtime. My father liked my mother to take the weekend off from cooking, so we often went to the diner for dinner. And yes, by the time I was in high school there was always lots of homework to do on Sunday evening. But nothing else stands out.

Am I the only one who watched The Muppet Show on Sunday nights? It aired on CBS from 76-81. We did watch WWoD occasionally, but The Muppet Show was THE show in our house.
