I got this book which is a bunch of short stories written by authors who do vampire books which I really enjoyed.

Immortal-Love Stories With Bite

There are several authors in it. The stories are short which made me wish I could read more but they were still really good.

I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, and pretty much anything by James Patterson (I LOVE the Alex Cross series, and the Women's Murder Club series).
I'm also a huge fan of Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy. I just finished Clancy behemoth of a new release (the latest in the Jack Ryan series), and it makes me want to go back and reread the entire series. I'm a murder-mystery JUNKIE, lol.

I need to remember to try and get the Outlander series from the library. Everyone always has great things to say about it, it's just never available when I look, lol.

ETA: As a kid and teen, I LOVED the Redwall series of books by Brian Jacques. It was all talking animals and adventures and journeys. I loved loved loved those books. I own most of them, and hope to turn them over to my kids one day But definitely a good YA read too. Maybe I'll go back and reread those too.....

Do you like it? I've heard mixed reviews so I haven't bought it yet.

This is a series I wish I could convert to Kindle so I could read it again!

I'm reading The Immortals series by Alyson Noel right now and just finished up the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward before that. Next up is the Hunger Games series. I also read the Percy Jackson series - it's definitely a YA series and an easy read but it's kind of fun. Oh and the Gemma Doyle series by Libba Bray is also good.

If you can stand to read just three books in a series (the author died), you won't want to miss these: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. You should be advised that these books are very graphic (as are the movies) but the intrigue is amazing!

Another Sookie, Outlander and Twilight fan here!

If you are looking for other reads other than fantasy.....I really like Ceder Cove series by Debbie Macomber.

Kristen Hannah has become one of my favorites. She does not have a series but some really great novels. Firefly Lane, True Colors and Winter Garden are my favorites of hers.

LOOOOOVED, LOVED, Loved these books! I'm still mourning that I read them so fast. I did have night scares from the first one, which included roaming my mom's house with a knife.

Also a big fan of the Outlander series - it's a big undertaking though...lots of pages!

Oh, also loved the Big Stone Gap series - really fast read.

The Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen are amazing. I'm just starting the Stephanie Plum series, which I'm in love with. Also the Alex Cross and Women's Murder Club books by James Patterson. Or if you're looking for a lighter read by a YA author, try the House of Night Series, which are quite good, IMO.

If you don't mind some graphic sex and a lot of violence (vampire books), then check out the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward
http://www.jrward.com/bdb/

I'm reading Girl with the Dragon Tatoo right now...enjoying that
Loved the Sookie Stackhouse books
just finished the whole series of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books. They were a totally different pace and style for me, but I really found I enjoyed them and was sad when I'd read them all.
I have the Hunter Games that I'll read when I'm done with the ones I'm reading now...

Too much to read and too little time!!

I like
Stephanie Plum series (I thought 16 was just ok, good but certainly not her best work0
Meg Langslow series by Donna Andrews (If you like Stephanie you will enjoy Meg)
SPQR series by John M Roberts (mystery set in Rome around the time of Julius Ceasar)
Thursday Next & Nursery Crimes series by Jasper Fforde. (if you love to read you really should try the Thursday Next series, first one is the Eyre Affair)
Belgariad & Mallorean series by David Eddings (fantasy)
Hitchhikers Guide series by Douglas Adams (sci fi)

If you like chick lit mysteries I have a huge selection of series from a binge at my library this summer

If you like that, then check out the Antia Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Love the first books in the series and then it kinda tapers off. The last look - Bullet was "eh".

I love these too. They are what got me hooked on fantasy. Can't wait to get reading some of these suggestions. I have a GC to Barnes and Noble calling my name right now. hehe

Yeah... I have read all of the books in this series (as well as her Meredith Gentry series). She has a new Anita book coming out this year. Hopefully it will be better than Bullet was.

A few more series to consider. They also have sex scenes like the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series and Anita Blake Series (just a warning).

Guild Hunter Series by by Nalini Singh
Psy-Changeling Series by Nalini Singh
Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning (the final book in this series is coming out in a few weeks)

I go through books like water I'm also a fellow Twilight/Hunger Games fan, and my other favorite series are:

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead (Succubus Blues, etc)
Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
Rachel Vincent's werecat series, starting with Stray
Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris

I loved the first few Anita Blake books, but somewhere around 10 or 11 they changed a lot. I keep reading the new ones because I'm too far in not to know how it ends, but they frustrate me now so I don't usually recommend them to people.
