Janet was too right? Back when SSD started. So, I think I have us in order of when we became Babes, but I could be way off!

Shawna Clingerman
Janet Phillips
Julie Billingsley
Kristin Cronin-Barrow
Libby Weifenbach
Krystal Hartley
Cindy Schneider

and then like they said, Teresa Victor (was Teresa Ferguson when she was a designer)

Weren't Teresa and Janet original babes? Was Shawna too? I forget.

I just remember that Robin did this like anonymous call for "The Sweet Shoppe". She didn't post who the designers would be or anything, and I thought "Why would anyone want to apply for a shoppe without knowing whose stuff they'd be using to create?!" And then I felt REALLY sad that i hadn't taken that risk when the Shoppe opened! {Of course when I saw who the babes were, I realized I would never have stood a chance, lol}

well, alot of the current babes are designing somewhere else, aren't they? That lets me know I am so not ready for this week's call.

Yes, some are, but not all great scrappers are designers. Apply, you never know.

Yeah, if we're getting technical...it's babe, designer, hybrid babe, babe. I took a break from all things scrappy after designing for a bit. I can't believe you still have that kit! LOL It was the first I ever made...some people (i.e. me) are just better off working with the kits, not making them!

Excluding the part about you (I always liked your kits), I totally agree and identify with this statement. Since I spend so much time on this hobby, my husband has often encouraged me to try to make a little $$ w/ it and maybe start designing. So I'll try to make a few things for myself and they are horrible. I'm fairly sure I will never be a designer!

You could always do S4H work. I did it for 2 years and actually made some very nice money. It started completely by accident when someone I work with was admiring the layouts I had printed in miniature and had clipped in wire photo holders on my desk. I ended up doing a Christening book for her granddaughter, and it snowballed from there. I decided a couple of months ago to take a break from it because I was spending so much time scrapping for others, that I hadn't scrapped for myself for a VERY LONG TIME! I'll still accept a commission here or there, and I will still do custom invitations for people because they're quick and easy! Just a thought for making some $$.

I know I will never be a designer. I don't have patience to learn, and I am more than happy to buy what someone else has made!

I sort of look at it like this: Yes, I COULD change my own oil, but it's one of those things I don't have to do. So I could make my own kits, but why? I'm not going to come up with anything that hasn't already been thought of LOL
