Default Big holidays in a week?

How do you ladies approach weeks with a big holiday? With today being Easter, I'm trying to decide if I should use an Easter themed kit for the whole week or just use a generic kit and add one Easter filler card? Hmm... How do you guys do it?

I won't have a whole bunch of Easter pictures (because teenagers) but in general for something like this, I may include 1-3 photos from the holiday on my weekly layout. I'll also do a special event themed insert that is 1 or 2 pages depending on how many photos I have. I try to keep my weekly layout pretty unthemed and save the special events for inserts.

Depends how many of the photos on my weekly spread are holiday focused. If I just have a couple (either because I didn't take many or I plan to scrap them separately) I use a generic kit. But if a lot of the week's photos or journaling revolve around the holiday, I use a holiday kit.

Depends..at Christmas, I always use a themed kit because it's such a big deal. The rest of the time I might match colors and then just throw in a card or two that are themed.

Honestly, it depends on how many cute cards I find for a certain holiday. lol.

I just like to match the whole week. So if the Easter kit colors are something I could see using for my whole spread, I have no problem using it! And I probably will.

I am like Sara, for my project life pages. But I think I am going to create a separate mini book as I have about 500 photos from our weekend away with family just for the Easter holiday photos anyways.

For small holidays I usually don't include anything, unless it's mentioned in the journaling some where. For other larger holidays I will usually just include a filler card if I have room. I don't match colors to holiday's - it's just too hard for me with such a large family and such a wide array of things that do into my album. This also holds true for the HUGE holidays (like Thanksgiving and Christmas) since I do separate albums for them - for those two months my PL album might not even contain a single "holiday" card!!

For Easter I included two 4x6 pictures and a 3x4 journal card about what we did.

I also added a third Easter pic to my last page of the first album. (I'm doing mine with paper.)
