I don't know that I've ever seen so many at SSD.

It's crazy how active the spammers have gotten! I belong to another very small site, and they've been getting slammed, too. And my email! I've had to set up a whole new set of filters already this year . . . don't these people have anything more productive to do with their time?

I was also wondering something about these posts. Whenever I see one, I just add that person to my "Ignore" list, but I've noticed on a few threads that someone has posted "Reported". If you're the first person to see a post by one of these people, how do you go about reporting it?

It goes in cycles around here. We'll get hit hard, and then it dies off for a while.

The easiest way to report Spam is to click on the red exclamation triangle in the upper right corner of a post.

DUH! Thanks, Colleen . . . since I've never reported a post of any kind, I've never even paid attention to that little triangle!

We get to them as quickly as we can, but still have to sleep sometimes

Never thought of reporting them (which definitely will speed up the process of getting them removed!) Will do so in the future!

Totally have to sleep sometimes, Darcy. The powers that be are doing a GREAT job of keeping it off when they can.

It seems like SO much of it is appearing!!! Gracious! And they're all different- fashion one day, then sex, or medication.... sad!

yes please keep reporting them.. I actually emailed R about this the other day because I was having trouble keeping up with banning (and darcy has to sleep sometimes ^_^ ).. It def has increased a lil bit lately. but she's looking into it :] or has already.. something.

I was SO disappointed the other day when I realized that SSD was NOT going to be selling penis enlargement pills! I just think it's wrong of them to tease us like that. ; )

I can only delete the SPAM in certain forums and I'm trying to get any first thing in the AM in those forums if Darcy doesn't get to them first.

I think the reporting emails are sporadic too..like I saw a few say "reported" on some and i never got the email...I try and clean it in the am when I get on if Darcy hasn't beat me to it lol

I feel like a deleting fool the last few days though..every time i'm on (which isn't all that often lately) there's some spam

lol just make s ure you all use proper thread titles.. I've been known to almost accidentally delete regular posters for suspicious thread titles when it gets bad like this.. LOL you just start blindly clicking to stay ahead ^_^
