My son just told me this gem...
"Mama, my brain makes memories while I sleep..." haha.... then when I asked him what kind of memories, he went into the prayer he says before bed... so not sure what the thinks a "memory" is... How about you... what silly/funny things have your kids... or your sig other... have said, lately?

I asked my nephew the one day if he had a good day and he told me "Yep...I didn't get bit today so it was a good day". say what? Of course I asked him what that meant and he said his baby brother bit him yesterday, but not today.

This is what DD had to say as we drove home from preschool today.
Lauren: When I grow up, I'm going to let my kids stay up as late as they want. Me: Well, if that's the rule that you and your husband agree on, fine. Lauren: I'm not going to have a husband. I'm going to have 72 girls and 92 boys. I'll buy all the girls sparkly shoes and all the boys plain shoes. And I'm not going to have a bathroom, so then no one has to go to the bathroom. Me: What if their bodies need to go anyway? Lauren: They can have accidents. I'll be almost like Cinderella. Me: How will you be like Cinderella? Lauren: I'll always have chores to do, cleaning up all the accidents!

This was my youngest son today:
He wanted some milk and here is the convo that followed: Me: Monkey, come and get your milk. Gavin: Ummm, Mom, you forgot my straw...duh! Me: Gavin, you could have gotten one yourself. You sure are demanding today. Gavin: Well, I am the king! LOL!

I was playing the piano this morning to calm the kids down, so I played Canon in D and my 3 year-old told me that was a sad song. Then I glanced over and he had tears rolling down his cheeks.

talking to my son today about the correct term to use when someone takes your picture. He kept saying tooken and I kept telling him it is taken your picture for past tense or took your picture. He just couldn't get it. Kinda cracked me up. And he comes up with some amazing questions to ask (he is 15) and of course mom all knowing is supposed to be able to answer where ever we are...I dont remember what he asked today but I told him Google was unable to connect to my brain...server overload. He was like real funny mom.

A conversation with my 7 year old boy.
Jamin: Mom, today I am going to do my best not to make any mistakes. Me: Nah, don’ t do that. Jamin: Why not? Me: Because the only people who never make mistakes are those who don’t do anything at all. I hope you try new things, make brave choices and put all that creativity and imagination inside you to work. Jamin (looking at me as if I have a screw loose): Oh no mom, we aren’t allowed to do that in school. |

Yesterday Raegan (3 yrs) wanted to play tag in the house. I told her would could play but that we couldn't go down the hall where the baby was napping. Then, she said, "Okay. And, you don't have to run mom. You can just walk. Sometimes, parents aren't very good at running. But, kids are!"
