How about Dreams of Joy by Lisa See and Unaccustomed Eart by Jhumpa Lahiri? They seem to have good reviews...

I second Still Alice, even though there's little chance I can get it in June (doesn't seem to be on offer in Slovak bookshops, and Amazon has too high a postage for Slovakia).
These are those that are on my toead list and I managed to get them: Little Earthquakes The Long Song An Artist of the Floating World

I recently read "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford, and it was really good. It's a historical fiction from WW2 that takes place in Seattle, WA.
Also, it seemed like we had a LOT of really great books suggested in April for the May list that we didn't get to, maybe we should consider some of those as well? I remember thinking there were too many good books to choose from that list!

I would be game for Mary Higgins Clark or the glazed donut murder mystery series. Both sound like light summer reading to me.

I'd love Bossypants or anything by Lisa See.
Here's two I just came across that looked good: The Midwife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain The Queen of New Beginnings by Erica James |

What about The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins? I know it's a YA novel, but, really, I can't understand why... anyway, I devoured it!
I'm actually reading reading book 2, but could easily reead book 1. xo

I'll risk it and suggest something bizarre - I love Amélie Nothomb's Fear and Trembling. I read it in French and I have no idea about the quality of the English translation, but it's an interesting book to read.
