Default A question about downloads

I was wondering something. One of the sites I used to frequently shop at would limit your downloading to one at a time. Now most sites I can download only 6 items at once. Is this set in the website, in the browser or through the internet provider? Being able to d/l six links at a time is fine...my internet is generall pretty fast compared to when I first started scrapbooking and I was on dial-up. One link of a normal sized kit could have taken hours to download if it didn't time out first.

This was just something I was curious about thought Id ask to see if anyone knows.

it's usually your browser that limits the number of downloads running at once, and your ISP limits the amount of bandwidth you can use to download at one time
