Default Cosmo Cricket albums

Have you guys seen these cute little blackboard albums made by Cosmo Cricket? These are just a few of the ones they have - Jack, Abby, Ruby, Kate and Ethan! I'm dying to find one of these and make something with it, especially the Jack album!

Oh Robin! Any chance of these being available in the store here @ SSD???

Those are available at Funky Playground now... I hope they come here soon too, but I thought I 'd let you know in the meantime where you can get them! (now that I'm a hybrid girl for FPD!)

Haha - when I saw this thread I immediately thought of you, Colleen!

They're at my LSS and they look fab! I just can't justify buying it right now (I have a TON of blank albums stacked upstairs waiting to be jazzed up before I buy more.)

I just saw those last week at Archivers but held back buying any...I did get these though
6x6 Prima Hybrid Embossed album

3 x 5 Acrylic Tag album

2x3 Acrylic Stamp albums

The acrylic albums were NOT cheap so I stuck with the small ones for now...I though they would make cute gifts....The Prima embossed ones were 50% off of 8 bucks and they are REALLY thick too......I think I got 3 of those....got 6 more tag albums too that were super cheap-o!!!!!

Has anyone bought those acrylic albums yet...I have been waiting for them to arrive for a long time and now that they are here I WANT THEM ALL !!!!!

I will get me some Cosmo Cricket ones soon....hopefully from HERE

Those are really cool albums Christine! I've seen the Prima ones before but not those little acrylic ones! I just got in the mail today an 8x8 acrylic tab album that I'm going to be working on in the next few days & it is really cool looking! I've never worked with acrylic before so I'm a little intimidated by it lol!

I'll have to post pictures of my acrylic album here, even though there was no digital involved. I used regular adhesive, but on the flip side where you could see the adhesive, I would put a flower, another paper, or a ribbon to cover those. I'm taking the Book of the Month (Pinecone Press) classes and this month was the Clear Book.
The acrylic albums at Archivers are made by Scrapworks, BTW.

there were 2 examples at my LSS with the acrylic albums ... she used paint to hide some adhesive spots and then used glue dots when it might show thru.

I am dying to do an acrylic album. I only have the frosted ones tho. Here is a fabulous acrylic album a friend of mine made:

http://penny-candy.blogspot.com/2007...w-project.html

She has a link to instructions on how to make them on her blog too.

I love that half bracket album and the fact that they are black! I will have to save my pennies so I can get a couple of those for sure!

That album is fabulous.....I may just have to go buy my own acrylic as well, I am sure it would be cheaper than these albums too....I have a scroll saw but not sure if it would cut that stuff???????

Oh wow her album is amazing Pam! But I tried the link to the instructions and the link seems to be broken. I tried looking around that site to see if I could find the instructions but couldn't.

I don't think acrylic albums make sense for hybrid stuff since we paste stuff on top...I love them though!

Now I'm gonna be on a mission to make it work

It'd be hybrid by messing with fun edges on the pictures to adhere them though. So I still win.

Col, I'm going to try to make it work, too, with acrylic. I've already got one idea I'm going to try this weekend (he, he, he)....

I've got one of the Cosmo Blackboard albums I planned on working on it tonight with paper stuff. I think the half bracket shapes are so cute! I also have an acrylic album but haven't decided how to use it.

oh I saw those black ones Archivers on my one trip there. They looked really cool. I was sooo close to buying one. I couldn't think of what do with one so I didn't get any.

i luuuurve acrylic too. And I believe they could work with digi.

but something tells me I should do something with the 10 little chipboardy things I have right now . . .

Christine, did you see that Archivers is having an acrylic album workshop? I so want to go. I just don't know if any of the times are workable for me. . .

Meems, Yes I did but I have no time for workshops now that baseball has started....we play almost every other night and Saturdays.....

MEG, I am totally on the same page about smooshing a double sided layout in-between two acrylic pcs....however, how would you keep the 2 pcs together ???? Would you use metallic tape or something???

That's how the sample album I saw at archivers was..had a cardstock layout in between two acrylic pieces..I wanna say they put holes in the LO and put it on the rings but i'm not positive

You would just glue the pages back to back, punch some holes, and put it on the rings. Easy peasy.

I decided to drive like 45 minutes out to a different scrapbook store this weekend to see what they have. Since Jordan isn't home this weekend I don't have to sneak anything in the house If they don't have any acrylic for decent prices I'm gonna go ahead and place my order at scrapbook.com
