I lived in Germany twice, for four years each time.

The first time I was in preschool, kindergarten and first grade, so I know quite a few German nursery rhymes LOL.

The second time was in 7th,8th,9th and 10th grades so I know a few useful adult phrases. "I want bread please" "One bus ticket please" and "That's too expensive."

But that is all I garnered in those 8 years. Not much.

I don't know. My sister had been teaching me a few words while I visited her, tree, tired, friend. She finally said "I am dead tired." So that is when I learned dead. Then the next day we went to a festival and somehow painted on a fence, was "my friend the tree is dead." It was the first full sentence I read in German without help.

LOL - everyone cracks me up

I can do a lot of the things mentioned - must be because I'm older and have had more time Hahaha - my mom speaks German so I know quite a bit of that and I can speak a fair amount of French (we're near Quebec here). I took Latin in high school also but don't remember a bit of that. I can sew/quilt and crochet, cook/bake, etc. I can play piano, drums, guitar.

I would love to learn to:
Draw/paint - can't draw much more than a stick figure
Knit - my grandmother taught me years and years ago but I can't remember
Sing - I can play instruments but I suck at singing

well, i lived in paris for three years and married a frenchie, so i can at least say i am fluent in a foreign language LOL! i used to be decent in spanish too - i can read it fairly well, but now when i try to talk i say two words in spanish and then my mind just switches to french. i'm not sure i have the capacity to do three languages at once - but i'd like to try my kids speak french and english at home, and go to a spanish preschool .. so i'm pushing the trilingual thing with them (my SIL is from argentina so their family is completely trilingual, so i know it's possible )

and i think my biggest problem is TIME - there is just not enough time to do everything i want to do

I want to learn:
cross-stitching
drive a car (need to now - in Brazil not driving makes no difference, but here where I'm living? I'm feeling like in a jail...)
ride a bike

I really wish I could:
sing - I love to karaoke (even had a machine in my wedding) but oh man, it's painful listening to myself with high-pitched songs
dance - my hand/eye coordination is shot
do crafty stuff - i can't even wrap gifts properly. So you understand why I love digiscrapping, right?

I knew you would have something super cool!

If I could do anything in the world...I would learn how to loose the extra weight that has plagued me my whole life and keep it off But for something a little more fun, I want to learn how to sew.

I can do a lot of crafty things & have been creative since I was a kid, aside from being able to crochet like my Granny, I'm happy with that. ( I can't knit & it's not one of those things I must do, at least not right now)

I can cook/bake very well my round rear & belly are a testament to that. lol

-I would love, love, love to be able to play the guitar that my Granny gave to me (she started teaching me before she went to heaven), & learn to play the piano.
-I would love to learn to love working out (like dedicated working out/running)
-I want to learn to plan/organize better & procrastinate less

One of the things I would love to be able to do...but probably won't have time to learn is to play some kind of stringed instrument, like a fiddle or a harp. Something happy & cheerful!

I've also tried for years to learn to sew for myself...but my efforts always fall a big short!

I would like to re-learn how to play guitar, crochet, and ride a bike. These are all things I used to know how to do when I was younger but have seemed to have lost the ability since.

I want to learn to sew, too! I've done a few simple things, but I want to be awesome at it someday. I need a sewing machine first though.

I want to learn to knit. I already learned the purl and knit stitches and I made one swatch a few months ago, but I didn't have the time to do more than that. I also didn't have the spare money to buy more needles and yarn. haha! So, I'll probably get back to learning how to knit in the next month or so.
