Default Gratitude Mini Album - come play along!

Come play with me!

I'm creating a Gratitude mini album this year. I've got details on my Blog. I'd love it if some other Sweet Shoppers would play along with me. Instead of just posting what you are thankful for this year - make a page each or every few days. At the end of the month you'll have a great mini album to remind yourself what you were thankful for this year.

Here's a sneak look at my day one layout.

I can't wait to see what everyone else makes - come post your layouts here daily for inspiration and encouragement to finish the project.

I was planning something very similar for my blog using Janet's new template set. I'll be linking up.

This is no pressure ladies so even if you decide to just make a "Top Ten Things I'm Thankful For" album please play along in this thread. I hope this will be a fun project for this month.

Cute Monica - I love that template. I'm now tempted to make a second mini album. One for the family and one for me personally.

I love the templates you're using too. I haven't seen them before and I'm tempted to pick them up and save for an album next year. I love this idea and wish I'd done it before. I was so excited to see this post and that it's in the Portfolio challenge as well!!

Our church is encouraging us to do a "25 Days of Thanks" campaign and list five things each day for which we are thankful. This will be a great way to incorporate the two. I may have to do this!

Oh... I started working on mine yesterday but my printer is broken, so mine might not be hybrid like I was hoping I helped Moriah and Isaac make lunch bag journals too so they can play along too

but I love your first page Juli!!!

Love this!! I'm really hoping to stick with this this year and make a 4x6 mini-album of them. I want to make it a tradition of sorts, so Callen grows up being a thankful person.

I actually started this today and made my cover page this morning, but its not SSD stuff I am going to do 20 pages total to have an 8x8 made. I will combine some days and such and include some full photo pages etc too, to come up with enough room. Thanksgiving pics, etc. I am also gonna have each family member add their daily thankful thoughts

Its on my blog http://domesticdeficitdisorder.blogs...ude-day-1.html

Yes, Kjersti I am going to post daily or every other day. And I'm going to pick a few pages from others to post on my blog each day! So come share your digital and/or hybrid pages here!

Heather - I think it's a great idea to have your kids play along with paperbag albums. What a brilliant idea!

Jessica - no one says you have to do all 30 days. Just do a Top 10 or whatever speaks to you. The idea is to start and finish the project and be thankful when your done.

Tanyia - I want to see your pages anyway girl!

I always post something on my blog each day of November and then I usually just scrap the whole thing at the end of the month into one page!! I'm still gonna do that and I'll post my finished page but maybe I'll try to do a little 5x5 album with a photo since I have instagram this year and I'm always snapping photos!!! Hmmm....something to think about!!!!

Oh Jessica - I love the dark wood background with the bright colors!

Tanyia - I think as long as you aren't linking up other designers it's okay. We are sharing our ideas. It looks great!!!

Elizabeth - I love your idea to put each day's thankful thoughts on a big layout. Looks great.

I will be back tomorrow with my day 2.

I'm really excited to do this! Was thinking about it last month, then saw Darcy & Meg's template album and have been eyeballing it ever since! I'm just about to hit 'purchase'. lol I really think I want to do it hybrid though so I'm wondering...what type of album/book are you using or are you just holding them together with a ring?

this is my cover... I gessoed up my page 1 and printed a few things but I haven't really worked on it... I figure as long as I have my words for each day I'm good... I'm doing it on FB so at least I'll know I did it every day and not feel behind, like I do with PL LOL

I love everyone's pages.

I'm printing my pages and mounting them on kraft cardstock. I punched a hole in the upper left corner for a book ring. You could even print and put in a 4 x 6 album if you use Meg and Darcy's album - it's sized 4 x 6.

I've posted my day 2 page and some of your great day 1 pages to my blog.

My day 2 page didn't photograph too great, but here it is anyway.

I'm going to rephotograph this afternoon when I have some better light in my house. Also, with all the DSD festivities this weekend my next blog post will be on Sunday, but I'll still be in here this weekend seeing how everyone is doing.

Oh and I've already decided that I want more variety in my album so I'm going to either use a different kit or mix things up for the next few days.

I love you day 2, Juli!!

This is going to be such a great project! I already can't wait to see everyone's finished products. I think I'm going to print mine 8x8 from Persnickity and put into a post-bound or 3ing album.

day 2 for me:

I know the topic is kinda a downer but I am thankful everyday for the last fifteen months that my husband survived and that all the things and people who helped him were there when he needed them.

Jessica - you have to use what speaks to you in your book. I think that is a wonderful thing to be thankful for! I love the ambulance, nurse, doc's! Cute!

I do not know how on earth I am going to put these together, I might do it after the fact to figure it out, but I am collecting everyone's thoughts, here is

day 1: from us all

Rebecca .... Today I am grateful for a roof over my head, because it gives me shelter and warmth and keeps me dry from the rain and it protects me and its sad that not a lot
of people even have a roof over their head everyday, but we do, so we should be grateful about that.

Kayla ... I am thankful for having a loving and supportive family. Having to go through overcoming anxiety and other issues is a lot easier to go through with my family helping
me go through it and supporting me.

Samantha ... I am thankful for my friends because until very recently I did not go to school or have friends and I did not think I was going to make any friends at all, and I am thankful
for the friends I do have because my family has raised me to be a good person and some of those friends are going through a hard time so I can be there for them.

Marc ... I am grateful for clarity of thought, because I did not always have it.

me... Today I am grateful for the friends I have met online. I am a very shy person in face to face situations. I am very anxiety ridden and full of self doubt and sometimes hate which color my interactions with other people. I can however feel less self conscious and truly be myself online and I love that I have been able to form relationships this way that I never would have been able to in any other way. Thank you to all my online friends, your friendship means more to me than I could ever express to you.

Just found this thread!!! LOVE IT! I want to do something too, but haven't started yet. Like the simple square and the 4x6 size.

So far I've got these things to be thankful for:

1. Travel
2. Sisters

I didn't actually take any pictures of the last two days things...so I need figure that out!

Here are my family's thoughts for yesterday, day 2:

Me: I am so grateful for long, hot showers today! I have been a mom since I was 17 and spent most of my life rushing through showers to get back to the little one that was waiting. Taking quick 5 min "mom" showers! Now that the girls are older I can take my time and enjoy it, and boy does that hot water feel awesome first thing in the morning!!!

Sam: I am grateful that all of my teachers are good teachers, none of them are rude or mean on not helpful. Because I need help and they are willing to help me and I really need it.

Kay: I am grateful for modern transportation. If we didn't have it I would be stuck in one spot my whole life and let's me keep in touch with other people I am farther from and lets me have opportunities
I would not have in my life otherwise.

Becca: I am grateful for my family because without them I would be really sad and lonely. Also they protect me and love me unconditionally.

Marc: I am thankful for having an innate talent for technical things.

Tanyia - Love, love, love that you are recording each person's thankful thought for the day. I can't wait to see how you scrap it because I think I want to do that next year.

Laura A - So cute! Glad you are playing along. Love the two pager.

Ripal - I like the colored pictures with the kit. I chose black and white but the colors looks great.

Kjersti - Love your full page for day 2. Are you doing one a day or capping it at a certain number?
