Default Read direx first, i.e., I am an idiot

I'm trying to make a gift for my friend, who is due here at any moment. (of course I waited till the last possible moment. My plan is to make t-shirts by ironing on a little design I made using some cute Jacque Larsen stuff.

So I print out my images and choose mirror image b/c isn't that what you do for t-shirts? Nope, not for this kind of transfer paper.

For one of the designs, it doesn't matter if the image is flipped so I go ahead and start ironing it on. Nothing seems to be happening.

I go look at directions. Oh, I was supposed to peel off the backing first. duh.

Just felt compelled to share the tale of my stupidity . . .

on the bright side . . . I found the 2 blinkies for today right away! thanks Robin and Kristin!

I'm not a direction eader either. And I'm last minute, too.

Glad you found the blinkies. I have yet to do so.

I think we ALL have those moments.

A couple months ago, I was working on a sample (read: first attempt) hybrid project, and had an open book of glue dots laying on my desk. I set down the hybrid project DIRECTLY onto the book of glue dots, and realized immediately what I'd done, so I pulled it back up and was pulling the glue dots off. At the same time I was talking to Kristin on Yahoo and was telling her what I just had done. Not even 5 seconds after I finished pulling all the glue dots off...I put it back down...ON THE GLUE DOTS. Again! OMG, it was funny, but not.

Fast forward a month or so, and I took the project with my to a crop w/ Paula (Duncan)...I started telling her the story about the project and glue dot catastrophe, and when I was holding it, it kinda slipped out of my hand and...you guessed it...onto an open book of glue dots. ARGH!

OMGosh..too funny...mainly because that sounds like something that would happen to me, lol. I always wait till the last minute myself...although I have learned to read directions...sometimes, lol.

How did the T-shirts turn out?

LOL, Bree, I could totally see myself doing that too! (and this is why I probably never do hybrid projects.)

T-shirts, well, they didn't turn out as cute as I was envisioning them in my mind . . .

If I can find batteries for my camera I might post a pic . . .
