Default Which albums do you use?

So... long story short, we're going through some issues with our middle son and I need to get his scrapbooks done quickly. I have bits & pieces done, but he's 18 and I need his early memories documented and in albums quickly.

I know a lot of people print their pages in books. But I prefer to print loose pages so I can add in memorabilia, etc.

If you are one of those who print loose pages to add to albums, what albums do you use?

When I originally started (paper) scrapping with Creative Memories, I used their albums. But, I'm ready to move away from those.

Do you use strap-hinge, post, or 3ing? What are the pros of your choice? Are there other choices?

Thanks!!

I use We R Memory Keepers Faux Leather 3 ring albums. Sturdy, classic looking, and hold a lot of pages. I tend to order on amazon (and get my page protectors too) and get my prints through Persnickety.

Thank you so much, Jennifer!!
Do you find any slouching or pulling of the page protectors from the rings? (LOL! Please forgive me...my CM indoctrination is rearing it's ugly head)

Nope, at least not with the good brand ones. I had to replace some of my older ones when I'd used cheapies from other stores because i didn't know better. They all fit fine and have held up for 8 years ish now.

I do suggest getting the WRMK inserts too- those have the nicest feel to them and are the only ones I buy anymore (and as budget allows I'm replacing the older ones with those too)

Great! I was just looking at them on Amazon. I found that JoAnn's has them, too, so maybe I could use a coupon

which on do you get at persnickety prints ? Do you get glossy? I'm been wanting to print mine out but I have been waiting on everything because I was just like Tammy, I didn't know which album to get and I didn't know where to print mine out at. Also what size do you print them out at? Do you do the 12 by 12 or the 10 by 10? Thank so much!

I do 12x12 via persnickety, matte prints. They look amazing. Give me a minute and I'll grab some pics to share.

Don’t mind the crappy phone pic, but the colors are true to digital in person and feel great. They aren’t flimsy.

I always print my layouts and photos matte. Once they're in a frame or page protector the plastic/glass adds enough shine for me, and matte prints are usually less susceptible to getting fingerprints while I'm putting them in the page protectors.

I use the American Crafts leather 3ing binders on Amazon, but order the We R Memory Keepers page protectors. I also print at Persnickety and get the matte prints.

Thanks, Corey! I will look these up, too.

We R Memory Keepers are on sale at JoAnn's right now for under $20 each. They might be what I end up with.

When I've printed my individual pages, I always used Scrapbook to Share. They were a small company back in the day and have grown by leaps and bounds. Any issues I've ever had (I had the mail carrier from Hades), they always reprinted. From there, any time I made an order, they shipped an alternative way so that I didn't have to deal with the mail carrier.
