Default End of the year teacher gifts?

Does anyone have any ideas for teachers gifts you are going to do this year?

I have been looking at Pinterest and haven't seen anything I really love. Last year I did the "Thanks a Latte" with a Starbucks gift card for my oldest sons teachers.

I need two pre-k teacher gifts, 2 kindergarten gifts (maybe a couple small ones for specials teachers) and a gift for the bus driver. Thankfully my oldest doesn't want any this year as he has 6 teachers in middle-school.

Anyone mind sharing what you are doing?

I'm thinking of doing this. I need to go this week and see if I can find enough yellow stuff and a cute box to put it in.

I homeschool, so we only have one class to "worry" about... this is what I did for my son's Midweek Church teachers...

My child's teacher is getting a bottle of wine with a thank-you tag from me and a hand-written card from my child. I'm all about keeping it simple!

I'm thinking of getting a gourmet cupcake and then a font from Darcy for Blake's teachers. But I have to decide fast - his last day of school is tomorrow!

We just went all out for Teacher appreciation gifts 2 weeks ago, so I took photos on their field trips. Found a class photo with all of them and teacher of each of my two kids. I took them to staples and did the engieer prints(3"x4") for $7. I kept it simple as I figure the teachers have enough to deal with at the end of the year.

Oh, Mary!!! I love the tumbler cups! I wish I had seen that one earlier. I'll have to pin it for next year!

I think I am doing these this year; magazine, cute beach towel, some sort of candy or a small GC.

These are all so cute! I love the plant and the tumbler! I hope to get something done before Friday (our last day of school).

Such great ideas!

I need to pick something...maybe something different for each one? I probablly should make it simple too.

I have two days for my youngest and until next Thursday for my middle son.

I think these ideas are all so cute.

I have a tradition for teacher gifts for my kids - I've been doing it for 9 years now. I make the teacher (and give a copy to the class) a DVD slideshow that's usually around 10 minutes long. My kids have loved it. I do it K-6th grade. Now I have a 9th, 5th and 2nd grader. My kids love this, and the teachers have been thrilled.

We had teacher appreciation week two weeks ago. For my 5th grader's main teacher I gave to the home room mom who did little baskets of stuff every day and then gave a spa gift certificate on Friday. It's the teacher's last year teaching as she's moving up to administration so we didn't do school supplies for the next year as we usually do.

For the Orff (music) teacher and the Gifted teacher I did little gifts every day based on their likes because I've known these ladies for years now.

If I was only doing one gift I think I'd do a gift card to Target or Amazon so the teacher can get something for the class or herself depending on what she wants to do.

I typically give some movie gift certificates (from Costco) in a cute popcorn box (from Dollar Tree). But this year the teacher has 4 kids, so I don't think I can do for the whole family this year. I think I will be giving him a gift certificate to Subway or Jimmy Johns subs. Just have to think of a cute way to present it.

We just had teacher appreciation 2 weeks ago (and I wrote them a note plus gift card) so for end of the year I am having the kids write a thank you letter to their teacher, and I'm going to give them a mason jar full of M&M's. it will be colorful and pretty but still fairly inexpensive.

We gave gifts throughout the year. Handcarved wooden pins made by a family member for 5 holidays for a group of teachers who worked with our child. Today was the last day of school and all I really did was last minute. I gave 4x6 photo in an inexpensive frame to these teachers of them with our child. Nothing exciting at all. But the end of the year seemed to happen really fast. Really fast!

I got beach bags from Dollar Tree and filled with:
flip flops
big beach towel
nice tubbler with lid/straw
Jamba Juice GC

Tag said "I hope you "dig" your summer!" and it was tied with a shovel to the beach bag handle. Easy peasy (but was a little more expensive by the time I added up everything).

Seth had 2 teachers and Jason had 1 this year.

It'd be awesome to mix these two! So like, do the towel, the lemon drink, the candies and gum, and assorted stuff, and then say something like "You've been a bucket full of sunshine this year! Thank you and have a great Summer!" And then instead of a box, get a pail from the dollar store to put it all in!

Oh goodness some great ideas here!
I'll skip the tumbler idea even though it is my fave. It seems to be a really popular gift for the teachers around here this year. In fact my son's first grade teachers received multiples for Valentine's Day, Christmas, Teacher's Appreciation, and a few other random holidays scattered about.

I bought tumblers. Now to get the rest of the stuff. My printer isn't hooked up though, so I don't think the flags will be as cute.

I usually bring them lunch from a decent restaurant. I give them the menu the day before and ask them to pick something out. It is simple. It is easy. It is low stress. And who doesn't love a free lunch?!

I go the easy route: Thin Mint cookies. I get them all from my DD - it helps her totals and I don't have to make anything!

Love this idea Amy... as a teacher, I love a day when I don't have to make my own lunch!
