Let's talk
Smoothies. Specifically 2 ingredients.
Spinach or Kale? Fresh or Frozen? It's time for me to get back on my smoothie wagon and I'm making my grocery list and meal plan for the next 2 weeks. I've never tried Kale but I heard it's good. I normally just use fresh spinach, and then frozen fruit, greek yogurt, coconut milk or almond milk and whatever else I feel like throwing in. So what do you use? Spinach or Kale? Fresh or Frozen?

I use fresh spinach usually..have used frozen before
I tried kale..my dh didn't notice a difference but I did and prefer spinach I'm not a kale chips fan either and I know lots like them that way so maybe I just don't like kale very much

Yes
We use both kale and spinach, fresh and frozen. Some folks really prefer kale after it's been frozen as it seems to change texture. The only thing I suggest is to remove the really big ribs - that makes a difference. |

I prefer frozen kale to fresh spinach. Those are the only two I've tried though.

I use both fresh - like Darcy said you have to take out the big ribs on the kale. I've been juicing a lot this week instead of smoothies so with those I just throw the whole thing in ribs, stems, etc. but not for smoothies!

Sounds good! I usually use fresh greens. Somehow those frozen ones just don't seem the same!
