Default Crushes...

i almost never have one.
like, they're so rare, i'm not sure i recall the last actor/character that made my heart go pitter pat.
i just don't pay that much attention.... usually.

but manOman. we just started watching Covert Affairs on streaming and i've got the BIGGEST crush on Christopher Gorham's August [Auggie]. maybe it's those unruly curls, expressive eyes, and infectious smile. i dunno. he's so cerebral & i love his voice too. perhaps it's because he reminds me a lot of the hubs. ?? i just adore him though ♥ i made a comment the other night about how those unseeing eyes [Auggie is blind] could bring a whole new level/meaning to the world of personal exploration... [in my defense, i was heavily medicated]... but still, my darling Hubster actually had to ask me to "pipe down, Sweetheart". *snort i hadn't ever seen/heard of him [Christopher Gorham] previously. and it's not even like i'm such a devout fan of the show itself [it's okay]... but i must confess to totally watching the show just for him. and everytime i turn it on, my hubster just raises his eyebrows, winks and says, "MMhhhmmm."

so who's on your hottie radar these days?? anyone currently get your motor revving?

I rarely ever have crushes, either. Like, almost never.
I've had a crush on the same actor for over 20 years and no one has ever knocked him out of place. Paul Rudd. I don't go for over the top guys or muscles or tattoos. I can't stand bad boys. I like smart guys and smart looking, down to earth guys.

Not really anyone right now. The last TV character I really crushed for was Mc. Steamy (Mark Sloan on Grey's). And before that it was Sawyer on LOST.

alright... so i actually had to google Anson Mount.
i totally didn't recognize him with a beard! i def prefer clean shaven... skin is too sensitive to whisker burn ;D

and i def had a "thing" for Josh Holloway's Sawyer on Lost.
he's a bit like my thing for Gabriel Macht's Harvey on Suits. such total bad ass marshmallows ♥

i wouldn't have guessed Trish's photo was of Tom Hardy.
I can totally appreciate his beauty, but i think he's too buff [and short] for me. i like'em tall... over 6 ft.

ahhh... Paul Rudd. he'll forever be burned into my Clueless brain. such a sweetheart.

and Matt Bomer... DEF the only reason i started watching White Collar in the beginning. and totally gorgeous no matter what team he plays for... those eyes and that smart ass grin. another fave.

all excellent choices... as there are a LOT of them out there these days.... but here i sit... getting all giddy cuz in about 30 minutes i'm turning me on some Chistopher, er, i mean Covert Affairs!!

I'm a big fan of Channing Tatum cause I like my men big, but I have a legit crush on Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, its more Daryl than the actual actor, but I love him, too.

Mmm.... Daryl. He is... just yummy.

But I'm in love with the Half Brazilian, Half Japanese Hideo Muraoka...

And, uh, in case you were wondering what's underneath that...

Yes and yes! Why do all the good ones have to die? Seriously. It is like the TV gods get upset when too many people get swoony over a character.

I like my men rugged, tough, smarta$$ and if they have a dimple then DONE. The attitude is more of it for me. Seriously. And if they have a smirk for a smile OH MY LAWDY.

My two that make me sigh every time I see them on the TV are.........

oh those eyes! Yes please!

and

And......all of him. LOL

My hubby just cracks up. I seriously start blushing and sighing. They just do it for me.

If you like Christopher Gorham, you should watch the mini series Harper's Island. It was one 3-4 summers ago and it was a horror series set during a wedding. It was campy and silly but Christopher Gorham played the groom in the series. I got caught up in the series and I'm pretty sure I bought the whole series through iTunes. I think it may be on Netflix or Amazon Prime. That was my first introduction to him.

As for my crush.... Daryl. My sister tried to imply that there were no good looking men on The Walking Dead (she doesn't watch but her DH does). I was all Daryl. Blam. And Rick/Andrew Lincoln isn't bad either. Especially when he talks with that accent...

mmm...Thor.

No offense, girls, but I am not getting the appeal of the Benedict Cumberland guy. I had to google him, too. But really, with who I posted I really shouldn't question anyone else's pick.

I'm over here blushing. I think I'll move to the opposite end of the couch so hubby can't see what I'm up to. *scoot, scoot, scoot*

I honestly can't decide about this Cumberbatch fellow.

Cumberbatch as Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness was a thrill for most girl trekkies, I think. That's what cinched it for me, anyway. hehe

He's Sherlock, Khan in Trek, and the voice of Smaug in The Hobbit. He is literally playing a sexy beast.

lol. i'm lovin' all this. i think we all crush on folks for such different reasons. i'm all about the tall cerebral types. i can appreciate the bulky bodies and gorgeous faces... but a lot of of it for me totally boils down to finding the beauty behind the intellect. not saying that any of these hot bods aren't smart... but i wanna see'em wearing it out there on their shirt sleeves and see it swimming in their eyes. swoon.

& you'll get no argument here about Cumberbatch. hotdamn and holy smokes. BBC Sherlock was earthy shattering for me... as i've had a huge obsession for Sherlock Holmes [prolly since birth] and found his portrayal completely captivating. 2nd season : hothothot. [and i haven't even seen him as the bad ass in Trek]

and don't even get me started on Laurence Fox's Hathaway.... so broody, conflicted and beyond sexy.

it also goes a long way to mention that age plays an important part for me. i totally go for older guys, always have. i've had a MAJOR crush on Clint Eastwood since i was, like, four. seriously. it must have been the poncho. big sigh. no bigger bad ass, evah. and though he's now my grandfather's age, thankfully his son Scott has inherited those roughish good looks. and let's hope some of his kick ass genes.

and as for Mr. Daryl Dixon... forever burned into my brain in the Boondock Saints [the original]. pure awesome.

Of Sherlock?! Ohhhh - you MUST! really. It was awesome - even in a broody smart guy can't die kind of way.

(and it's okay - I have that with Doctor Who -I can't watch the episode where my favorite Doctor dies. I just can't do it. ever.)

As usual, I a couple of steps behind but my current crush would be Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG1). And, I get to meet him next year at the 2014 StarGate convention. Yes, I am that geeky.

Oh. Michael Shanks is a great pick, too. We totally love Stargate. I think we might need to rewatch that series again. hehe

I didn't watch StarGate until last year when my sister introduced me to it...and I really wanted to know how I'd missed out on that when it first aired. *LOL* Now I'm counting down the days 'til the con next year.

OK, now I get it and why it's not so much mine. I, for some reason, have a thing for big, big manly men (think Alcide on True Blood). Geeky men do not usually fit that mold.
