Default what's for dinner?

i always get such great ideas on these threads. so whatcha eating for dinner tonight?

we are having a meal just filled with calories but it's my cheat night so it's all good! i'm having hot cherry pepper cream sauce over penne with a salad.

we are trying to make this dish with a word of mouth recipe from a chef that we used to work with. we'll see.

tomorrow we are having grilled striped bass with a spicy sake/soy sauce, grilled garden vegetables, cuke & tomato salad, and rice pilaf. yum! what a great food weekend!

That sounds delicious Celeste!!! (what's cuke? I don't think I've heard of it before)

I pretty positive that we'll be having homemade pizza with salad for our dinner tonight. Tomorrow will be New York strip with potatoes & g. beans. Yummy food!!

I made homemade potato salad that now needs to be eaten. So I pulled a couple of brats out of the freezer. Not sure what else yet.

I think she probably means cucumber?

We're having ribs on the grill and I'm having DH grill me corn on the cob, which is totally unkind b/c he's allergic to corn and can't have it, but loves it so.

Dinner? You mean I'm supposed to think of something for dinner?

Haha, between all the work going into this baby shower, my house has been hoppin' all day... which means dinner is the LAST thing on my mind.

Sounds yum!

The kids are out at a birthday party with DH, so I'm guessing they'll all come home full and I'll be digging leftovers out of the fridge.

Wyatt has a bunch of friends over to swim so I picked up pizza from Sam's Club. If there is any left over, we'll eat that. Otherwise, we may go out.

We had a co-worker of Andrew's (plus his wife and three year old daughter over tonight.) Dinner was honey garlic pork chops, mac & cheese, roasted broccoli and a spinach strawberry salad with buttermilk-lemon bars for dessert.

Love these threads so I can steal ideas for the days ahead.

Last night we had oven-baked panko/parmesan chicken cutlets with spicy pasta and tonight is ham with risotto (I love it because my DH actually makes the risotto... not only do I not have to cook, but it is delish).

I think it should be a requirement that everytime you post what you had for dinner that you post the recipe. If you cooked it, that is!

my 3 sons and I have spent most of the day baking ... triple batch of porcupine meatballs, double batch of enchilada casserole, froze up in portions about 30 pounds of lean hamburger meat (yep there was a sale), made a really good casserole I hadn't had in about 10 years or so (basically a spaghetti meat sauce over noodles with sour cream and cream cheese ... layered ... then topped with cheddar cheese...yum), hamburger helper beef pasta, grandma lillie's spaghetti ... and a double batch (only baked about 1/2) of chocolate chip cookies.

My back hurts! lol ...but I got a Lot DONE!
