Default what sort of art is this ???

This is a pic that my 12 year old grandson drew for his grandad .. good eh?

I want to make a scrap page but I wondered if anyone knew what this sort of art is called - I know a lot of kids are into it at the moment but don't want to show my ignorance too much by asking him

Subway art / graffitti art ????????????

Any suggestions would be welcome

Thanks

I'm not sure what it is, looks like a comic book style drawing, but how great is that picture! His grandpa will love it.

It probably could be categorized as Line Art.

What a great pic.

I've also seen it called "tagging."

Maybe a mixture of grafitti and tagging? Tagging to me is when they write their gang symbol or name and it is usually pretty unreadable. At least to me it is. Maybe you have to know what you are looking at though
