#9: "Every day may not be good . . . but there is something good in every day." This quote was absolutely perfect for a little project we've been working on in my family this year. I created a little chalkboard Cheers Board, and each day we write down a few simple little things that are worth cheering for . . . just the tiny little things that made us smile. At the end of the week, I take a picture of the board and post our "cheers" on Facebook. It has been a great thing for us . . . helping us see the good in every day and encouraging us to keep a positive attitude, even with things are hard.
So, this layout documents all of our Cheers from January 2015. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to keep documenting the happy little things in our lives. P.S. As a bonus, this page would also work for the Photoless Page challenge!

#10 - Lucky
This was an easy choice for me. I think we all have things to be thankful for. For me, it's my little family that my hubby and I have created. We are beyond blessed and I'm thankful every day for those blessings. I am a lucky girl.

17 Create a Photoless Page. I have a certain fondness for photoless pages, I find them rather freeing and stress free. You can do whatever you want. They offer a great opportunity to scrap outside the box, and I find that I get to add subjects that I might not normally think to cover in my everyday scrapping.

Challenge #6: Here's the Story
I love telling stories in my pages. It doesn't always have to be a long story or capture every detail, but something that is really important to me in this hobby is remembering the small stuff, stuff that wouldn't normally hang around in my memories. Stuff like...this weird phase my husband is going through with neon shirts, and how it is driving my scrapbooking heart crazy!

I chose challenge 10 - Lucky. I used Rubia's (Studio Basic) new featured designer kit, Lucky Me, to create a page about how grateful I am to see my smiling little man's face each morning. I was sick and had to deliver him early and came home still trying to recover and take care of him. It was all definitely worth it just for these moments.

I chose #16 "use frames without pictures" because I really enjoy using frames in unconventional ways. For this page I stacked and staggered several frames to help anchor and create the foundation for my photo cluster.
& # 22 "do it pocket style"... as I love pocket pages and am trying to get back into the swing of doing them again regularly. They're a great way for me to document weeks/events/trips and help me to scrap with multiple photos [which is something I rarely do].

#2 Two-pager. My kids always bring home lots of art at the end of each school term, so creating a two-pager is essential to fit in their favourite pieces.

#13 - Get Lyrical. When I saw Amber's beautiful kit, I immediately thought of this challenge. I've been listening to this song a lot lately, and the lyrics were so appropriate for the page I wanted to scrap, especially as I didn't want to add lots of journaling.

# 17 - create a photoless page. I never used to understand the point of scrapping anything without a picture on it! Then I started taking note of all the amazing LO's in the gallery that were photoless. They were gorgeous. I realized that pages like this are an opportunity to scrap about something you're thinking about, trying to accomplish, or just feeling. Now I love making them!

#17 Photoless Page
This was a pretty easy one for me, as I love to do photoless art journaly pages. When I saw the store collab, Home Is Where the Art Is, it seemed like a pretty perfect kit for a poem that I wanted to get scrapped as it is about art. I mean unless I wanted to take a woe-is-me photo (which, no, lol) the page was going to have to be photoless. So instead of a focus on a photo I put the focus on the poem's title.

#3 3 Papers, 3 Photos, 3 Words
When Cub Scouts finish their last big thing to move up to Boy Scouts they get their Arrow of Light patches. My oldest had his Arrow of Light ceremony at the end of January and I had just been waiting for the right kit to scrap the event. Amber and Flerg's #believeinmagic: Brave Destiny collab seemed perfect for it with all of it's arrow elements. I decided to pair it with this challenge because the title would be just the 3 words and I had 3 definite photos that I knew I wanted to use. The only thing left was to pick 3 papers.

Photo less page from me! Once I saw Ana's cat kit - I knew right away that I wanted to do a page about how different my 2 cats are. And the title was just perfect! (I just couldn't resist! LOL). Since I didn't use any photos, I thought it would be fun to have 2 giant tails draped over the page. And of course my journaling about my sweet kitties

I'm trying to come up with an idea for 'pros' & 'cons' that will work for my son's book. He loves winter and always struggles with the change of seasons, but each season has it's beautiful parts. I'm thinking I'll go that direction with it.

Also...not sure where to put this....and I don't really want to whine and complain...but any chance you could make the words on the Bingo card a little darker??...these over 45 eyes are having trouble seeing them....
