Question Binder suggestions

My birthday is coming up and I'm considering putting a binder on my wish list. Which one do you all use and why? I was looking at one and it is really short.... can you line up a longer book and just punch and bind all the way down the book or does that limit you to a short book only? Is it still as usefull? Not sure I NEED a full length binder but I don't want to regret it later.

I have the Bind it All, the original blue model, which is one of the short binding machines, and I can do full size binding with no problems at all. I haven't used it in ages but I hope to get a bit more use out of it this year.

I have a bind it all. I hate it with a passion. My friends have a Cinch by We R Memory Keepers which is easier to use and it makes lovely round holes That is what I would buy if I didn't have the BIA already

I have the Cinch also and I love it. It is very easy to use and there are now spiral coils to go with it.

I just got The Cinch at JoAnn's with a 50% off coupon and several spiral thingies at 40% off with coupons. Now I just need to finish a project so I can bind it....so glad to hear others like it!!!

i love my BIA, i use it a lot. takes a bit of practice to get used to it, but after that, it's a piece of cake.

I have the pink bind-it-all and find that every time I use it with a larger project that I have to pull out the instructions or else I mess up the project.

I have wondered about the Cinch ... I have a $100+ GC from selling my old scrapbooking supplies at the LSS and almost sold my bind-it-all in that last sale ... but couldn't decide since I didn't know anyone that had the Cinch ... still on the fence ...

I'm with Andrea. I had a Bind-it-all, which served it's purpose initially - but I eventually became unhappy with the limited selection of binding options (pretty much only white or black and they look pretty cheap in my opinion) and it wouldn't punch through anything very thick - so most of the chipboard pieces I wanted to use for album covers were out.

I finally upgraded to a Cinch just about 2 months ago and LOVE it! It's SOOOO much better than the BIA. Seriously. It's AMAZING. The holes punch SO much cleaner, it's WAY more ergonomically friendly to use (and that's important to me as a Physical Therapist! LOL), and the spiral bindings are so much prettier (I love the brushed silver!).

So I vote for the Cinch over the Bind-it-All - and that's coming from someone who's owned both. - Just my 2 cents.

I have the bind it all but after struggling with my Daily December album and taking forever to punch it I am eyeing off the Cinch.

How thick a pile can you cut through?

I got the Cinch! LOVE it. Need more spirals/bindings.... lots more...
I think the directions somewhere said 20 pieces of paper? It does chipboard and all that too. I googled and found a really nice video to watch - cause I hate to read directions.
I've made a spiral for Beth Moore's Siesta thing on her blog, but that's it so far.

I'm really liking the idea of getting a binder. I'm just about sold on the Cinch, but I like the accessories for the Bind-It-All better. Does anyone know if the Zutter o-wires will work with the Cinch?

ETA: I moved my question to it's own post.
