Default do you..

get upset/frustrated at your children for personality traits or problems that are actually the same things you have?

As many know.... i'm quite scatterbrained. I feel bad for my team quite often because I have a hard time staying organized/on task/with it..

anyways, this past week I got frustrated at lily a few times for just not being focused and scatterbrained and i'm sitting here thinking like how can i be upset with her for being the same as I am..

Yup, all the time.

Like sometimes my eldest (5) is quite snappy with her sister. After I snap at her for being rude, the penny drops ...

I can't tell you how many times I yell at my daughter for something and then think to myself "ugh, she's just like me"

My mother tells me that she sometimes calls addison alisa because not only does she look like I did but she acts just like me.

Um....yes...all. the. time. My mother really enjoys this fact, as she laughs at me and says "she's just like you were when you were her age."

Casey loves to read, give her a book and she shuts out the world, it drives me insane. Until I'm reading and all of a sudden I hear "MOM!" and I look up and she says "I've been trying to get your attention for like 5 minutes." Oops.

my daughter a little bit. She is alot like me but then so different at the same time. But everyone tells me she reminds them of me so much. One thing she does that constantly annoys me is say she is fat. She is a size 5 and weighs like 115 pounds. Its crazy that she thinks she is fat but I was that way at her age too and would kill to be that size again LOL

My #2 son is a lot like me. So far, the parts that are like me don't bug me too much - he's just too young for them to be big issues. But, I'm sure as he gets older, those things will bug me more. However, my #1 son is just like hubby. And, they both drive me insane for the same reasons. I'm constantly rolling my eyes at my husband when he's frustrated with DS#1. I'm always thinking, "He's EXACTLY like you!" We're all just getting payback for what we put our parents through.

I always get annoyed by the fact that my son can never find anything, but, uh, yeah, I do the same thing all the time. I just hate that now I gotta search for twice the stuff.

My daughter is my clone and It frustrates me all the time because I see some of my flaws in her..... and I see her making the same mistakes I made as a kid - I so need to get over it! - Living through the mistakes that I made have made me a better person! But to answer your question - YES all the time!!!!!!

Yep I see so much of me in Evan it is ridiculous and I try to remember that I turned out OK! And then I find I am doing things like my Mom that drive me nuts, so I'm getting it from both sides! Oh the circle of life!

Absolutely! My DS has been extra sarcastic lately, and I just can't imagine that he could get that from me

My oldest is exactly like my husband. Exactly.
My youngest is more like me. Very dramatic! I also see a lot of my brothers in him.

My DD talks a mile a minute - so fast sometimes that I understand NOTHING she said. And I have to laugh, because my nickname when I was little was "Magpie" because I talked so fast! She is just like me!

lol I totally agree.

My middle son is a lot like me, so I actually don't lose my temper at him often when it comes to the annoying habits of mine he has. I remember how hard it was for me with remembering to do things, staying on task, etc. so I try harder to not lose my temper or get frustrated with him. My eldest however has all my good traits and his father's bad ones. So... I generally get mad at his dad. lol
