We're building a new house!
It kind of freaks me out..b/c I know it's going to STRESS ME OUT lol...but we're going to move. You may remember that DH got promoted a couple of months ago...well right now he's commuting 1.5-2 hrs away..which means he leaves here at 5:30 am and doesn't get home til sometimes 6:30-7ish. He hates it. I knew he would, but he did try for my sake. So...after much debating and prayer we've decided to put our house on the market and move to Jackson where he now works..well a suburb of Jackson...which is actually where we were living when we first got married.
Anyway, we won't actually be moving til next summer...we love the school DS is in and it'll take us at least that long to sell and then build our new house...we've been poring over house plans for weeks now and unless something unforeseen comes up..this will be our new house... http://www.houseplans.com/2268-squar...rage-%28626%29 I love it! It's exactly what I want..the floorplan is perfect. So..moving from home is hard..but getting a brand new house is going to be awesome!

That's so exciting Nikki!! Gorgeous house too, I'm jealous! We're hoping to stay in our home for 5 more years or so, and then build our dream home on a bunch of land.

Awwww, I bet you really have mixed feelings about this! But it will definitely be more fun when he is actually home for more than a few minutes before your kids go to bed! Love your house plans, too.

Oh gosh Nikki that is SO exciting!! I completely understand being freaked out about the move!! It will be so nice though to have Brian leave and come home at a more decent time (for both of you!!). What a gorgeous house it will be!!

It is beautiful! I love how all the bedrooms are upstairs together. (our master is downstairs and the kids are upstairs......not a big fan of that).
Very exciting adventure you are heading towards. I know it will be stressful at times but it will be so worth it! Well, that just means that your current house will be for sale!!!! Maybe I can talk my hubby into moving there! I love your house!

...I've been alternating between excitement and total dread..I hate moving and then to couple that with building a house..my anxiety goes up just thinking about it. But...it'll be worth it in the end..I just have to push through the process right? Tara..our house is like that right now..our bedroom is downstairs and the kids are both upstairs and I've always hated it...I told DH I either wanted a plan with all bedrooms upstairs or we weren't getting a 2 story house again. I really like the way the bathroom for the kids is laid out in this plan too. And you know what..there are like a MILLION house plans out there...getting it down to just this one was like an act of congress lol

that is stunning Nikki....did I miss it...how many square feet is it? The bedrooms must be HUGE...I can't believe there are only 3 bedrooms! And after just building a new home, I can totally relate on the stress of building
I can't wait to see when you guys build and the progress...it will be so worth it in the long run!

Love it!!!! So excited for y'all! Take LOTS of pictures--- I have mine from just an empty lot, all the way to now (sod goes in next week and we close Sept.3) It's nice to keep for memories, but also to see where studs or metals braces are to make hanging pictures and stuff easier!

yay Nikki! I actually LOVE to move. We moved every few years up until we had kids.
Love the floorplan you picked out, too! I'm one more to suggest going for the bonus room! we looked at several floorplans similar to the one you picked out where there was a bonus room above the garage. Maybe that would be an easy way to take care of it right off the bat? For us, even though our kids are young, we have lots of neighbor kids coming over all the time and we DEFINITELY love having a separate living space we can send them off to. They watch movies, play video games, we also have the thomas train table and other bigger toys in there. enjoy the process! and I swear, the next time I visit my parents I'm goingto PM you...they live right outside of Jackson, too!
