File Size & Clarity
My uploads are not as clear as I'd like them to be because I'm having to reduce the size of the pixels in order to get the file to 400KB or less. I use PSE 15 and I do my layouts in PSD format the select the Save for Web option to save the image as a JPG. Is there another way to make the file size smaller without compromising the clarity??

What size are you saving the image? When I save for web at 700X700 pixels, I don't usually have to go below 85% to get below 400KB and the images look fine.

Me too. I flatten my layout, change the image size to 700 x700 pixels, use the unsharp mask a little, then click on "Save for web"

I flatten my layout as well. And then change the image size to 700x700 pixels.
Thanks for the unsharp mask tip Jacinda. I'm going to give that a try.

Just curious how does flatting the image before saving for web help? I've never done it so I'm just curious what the benefits. I will also need to try the unsharp maks.
